Look for suggestions - best way to split MK over 2 party days?

Hello! I’m hoping to get some suggestions for how to best split up MK over 2 Halloween party days. It will be my 5 yr old’s first trip, so I’d like to start out in Fantasyland. The only other consideration would be to minimize walking, so I’d like to try to stay within one land at a time, rather than going back and forth between them. My plan is to arrive for early entry (7:30am) and stay until about 3/4pm on the first day and until about 5/6pm on the second day. Is Fantasyland and another land doable in one shorter day? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

Going to suggest starting in Adventureland with Aladdins Magic Carpets. The day we took our 3 great granddaughters Aladdin and Jasmine rode the ride. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

We use Adventureland, Frontierland and Haunted Mansion to get newbie young kids aware of all the stimulation and noise and waiting.

And then we go to Fantasyland. :star_struck::heart_eyes::star_struck::wink:

We have many times opened MK, done the Adventureland, etc, before lunch and then left the park to eat lunch at a resort (quiet)

Same with the second day plan of Fantasyland tho we might do the must do attractions first in case our leave for lunch time arrives before we’ve run thru the list.

I’ve not yet brought an early elementary age kid to MK who wasn’t ready for a bit of a break at about 11. Usually due to so much going on. Even with 5 year olds who have been before.

We tend to break up MK over two or three partial days, sometimes hopping to or from another park.

For nostalgia, we usually start with Fantasyland and Storybook Circus one day, plus a visit to either Adventureland or Frontierland if there is time. (You can also get a rest by taking the train from Fantasyland to Frontierland if you want.) When my kid was small, HM and Pirates seemed a bit on the scary side so we warmed up with Pooh, small world, dumbo, little mermaid, etc. and now the pattern has kind of stuck except that we rope drop PPF. (When I can get the family motivated to rope drop. Otherwise we buy LLMP.)

In that area, Mickeys Philharmagic is a good show if you need a break. We also sometimes do table service for lunch just to have some downtime.

Then we do a second day that focuses on Adventureland/Frontierland and Tomorrowland. It’s a bit more walking but again we use the train sometimes as a break. (Adventureland is my favorite part of both MK and DL but BTMRR is my favorite ride.) PeopleMover and CoP are good breaks in Tomorrowland. Country Bears and Tiki Lounge are also good places to rest the feet in relative cool.

Very!
We usually split the park up with east and west if we are doing 2 days. Frontierland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, the daytime parade and Fantasyland to the castle (carrousel not included). Then the next day Tomorrowland and the rest of Fantasyland with some Mainstreet stuff, castle performances and the night time events.
On party days the crowds are lighter than average. So you shouldn’t have any problem getting everything in.

Crowds are typically very light on party days (especially before the party goers start arriving at 4:00 pm) so you should be able to experience a lot both days. Are you purchasing LLMP? LLSP? I can make some suggestions after I know the answer to that.

Edit to add: More questions. How tall is your son? Does he like thrill rides? Are the adults doing any attractions without him if he is not tall enough or doesn’t want to ride?

If you’re going to do early entry and Fantasyland is your priority, then one option would be to split Fantasyland in two.
One day you target 7dmt, Dumbo and Under the Sea, and then head to Speedway and Tomorrowland.
The other day you target PP, Pooh and be ready at the rope to Liberty Square to head to HM and Tiana - not sure if you can beat the rope drop crowd to Tiana from there; if not you might as well go to HM first and be ready to queue for Tiana.

Only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open for early entry.

So another option is to start with Tomorrowland one day, doing Tron, Space, Buzz and Speedway. And then start with Fantasyland the next day. That’s probably the more “traditional” way.

It also depends if you’re willing to buy a pass for Tron &/or MultiPass to use for Tiana, Peter Pan etc.

These are all great suggestions! Thank you!

Thank you for the suggestions. To answer your questions, we are not against buying LLMP or LLSP if they are worth it but haven’t decided yet. I’m open to advice. The crowd prediction for the day we are going is a 2, but I feel like that could be an underestimate. My daughter will be just turning 5. She is 44” tall right now so will probably be an inch or two bigger by then. So far she likes some thrill rides but does better when an adult can ride with her. Yes we do have adults that will want to do rides she can’t or won’t do, but we also have a grandparent going who won’t ride and can stay with her.

At 44" your daughter will tall enough for every ride at MK except Tron (which is 48") so given that she likes thrill rides I would plan on her trying 7DMT and TBA and then Space Mountain if she likes the first two.

You can of a lot at MK on a party day without LLSP and LLMP, but I would recommend them (at least for one day) if you can fit it in your budget because you will still save a good amount of waiting in line time. If you only get LLMP for one day, you may have to do a little more walking back and forth because you will want to use LL for all the MK attractions with the longest lines.

For the first day, I would pre-book LLs TBA, Winnie the Pooh and an 8:00 am (or as close to that as available) Small World and LLSP for 7DMT (while saving LLSP for Tron for your second day). I would start in Fantasyland and plan on doing most of Fantasyland, Adventureland, TBA and Space Mountain on Day 1 (Haunted Mansion too if you think your daughter would like it but at 5 it could go either depending on how she does with dark and very mildly scary).

My suggestions are in order:

(1) RD EE Peter Pan
(2) Do one to the Princess Meet and Greets to see how your daughter likes character meet and greets (save the other for day 2)
(3) Tap into Small World LL to open up LL Tiers
(4) Book Jungle Cruise LL as soon as you tap into Small World
(5) From there it depends on the LL times you are able to get for other rides.
(6) Fill in gaps with rides with typically lower lines like the Carousel, Tea Cups, Dumbo and Barnstormer.

Other thoughts:
Ride Magic Carpets standby when you are done with Jungle Cruise.
Pirates may be fine for stand-by (or get a LL time near to your Jungle Cruise time).
Get your Space Mountain LL for around 3:30 pm so it is toward the end of your day.
On your way out of the park, check the line for Meet Mickey. If the line is relatively short, then do it. If not, then plan meeting Mickey early in your second day.

The Storybook Circus meet and greets (Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy) are cute too and usually don’t have terribly long lines.
