My apologies if I put this in the wrong thread. My family (6 adults, 3 children 8,5, and 1) are planning to visit May 2027. How hard is it going to be to find lightning lane multipass availability for this large of a group? Is it worth paying for it or should we skip it and just try to do it without them?

A party of 9 should be easy enough for prebooking and regular, sequential availability (I believe we determined the maximum LL group size is 20). However just be aware that the larger the party, the less likely you will be able to pick up “drops” or cancellations by other parties. There’s nothing you can really do to get around that so I would just plan on rolling with whatever you can get.

Since children under 3 don’t have admission tickets, they don’t get lightning lanes booked for them, either, right? That means this is a group of 8, for LL purposes.
Should that concept (no LL for those under 3) be added to your main thread all about LL?

That’s right - I missed that detail in the post. I’ll consider adding that to the thread. No LL is needed for kids 2 and under.

Thank you, that makes me feel better about spending the money on it. My worry was that after the three original prebooked we would not be able to find anything else. Of course, two of the adults are a college couple so they will probably go do their own thing some as well and not hang with us “cool kids” lol

For reassurance purposes, my sister and I were at WDW late December 2024 with our families. Total of 9: 4 adults, 5 kids all above 3. We were able to get reasonable timed LL and sometimes pick up drops for our crew.
