Ok so I haven’t been to Disney since the recent phase of Lightning Lane shake-ups.
I will go to Magic Kingdom in January on a park hopper ticket. I’m going to purchase an LL multi-pass to line skip and a single pass for one ride. Then, that night, I’d like to jump over to Epcot to do a quick single pass for Guardians.
Questions
I can buy single at MK and Epcot on the same day, right?
Which single pass is the best option at MK?
Whats the current best strategy for multi-pass options for MK?
This is dependent on what you want to do there. There is a Lightening Lane thread that has some of the top priorities listed in the lead post. It’s good to know which ones are more likely to be sold out day of.
Here are the order that LLs typically run out at MK:
MAGIC KINGDOM Group 1:TBA >> PPF > JC > BTMRR > SM Group 2:WtP > HM > Buzz > TS > everything else
TBA has drops every hour on the :47 so is fairly easy to pick up, and is also a good option for VQ for the time being, so I would get either PPF or JC (whichever is your higher priority) as your Group 1 selection.
For Group 2, I recommend HM and Buzz. If you don’t care for Group 2 rides, as soon as you tap into your first LL, you can modify any or all of your 3 prebooked slots to Group 1 attractions or to Epcot. So you could tap into HM and then modify Buzz to BTMRR, for example.
Based on what you’re saying, it looks like in 10 days I’ll book a Tron and Guardians LLSP and purchase LLMP for MK. I’ll book JC group 1, do Tiana on VQ, and get HM and Buzz for Group 2. Then I’ll get an early LLMP so I book additional experiences early.
Fantastic, thanks y’all! Little more complicated than my complementary Unlimited Express Pass at Universal
You definitely want one of your 3 pre-booked to be as close to your arrival time as possible. Out of your 3, Buzz will probably be the easiest to get an early return time.
It is more complicated honestly. I love plotting and planning but even I get fatigue with this system sometimes.
