Lightning Lane Multi Pass - Worth it even in a slow day?

Hi all!! First time posting here. We are going to be at Disneyland/DCA this weekend. Crowds projections for our days in the park are: 2, 5, and 4. Is Lightning Lane Multi Pass even worth it for crowd as low as 2? I started creating our plan for the day and it only has us using 2 passes on Sunday which makes me wonder if we should just go without it?

Back story about our group - it will be my husband, three kiddos and I. The kids are 8, 6 and 18 months so we’re trying to expedite the lines and such but we also love to save money, if possible!

Thank you all!

If you didn’t buy LLMP with your tickets you will have to buy each morning as soon as you all scan in, but they don’t run out as fast at DL so you can wait a bit after scanning in to see how long waits are. I have heard Sundays are usually low crowds, but not always. Unfortunately TP crowd levels aren’t very accurate anymore so crowd levels may be higher than listed. If you can do rope drop and have a plan you should do fine.

IMO it is always worth skipping lines, no matter how short, when you have kids! But that’s just me. (I have four kids and I’ve had them at about those ages.)

Disneyland LL system works really well and while you might not need it, even on a slow day it is always nice to have.

That said, if budget is a concern, it would be an easy place to save some dough.

Oh and as @daw623 said, you could always use for one day and play it by ear for the others.

I know it’s well past the OP’s visit, but I’ll add my two cents here for anyone who reads this in the future.

I usually purchase LL for at least one day of my 2-3 day visits, and I visit often. On all of those days except one, I did not feel it was a waste of money; wait times almost always creep up to more than 30 minutes on the headliner rides, and time in those lines is time taken away from other attractions or hotel rest time. The only date I felt I could have done without it was Halloween, when crowds were measured at 1. That is extremely rare. Even then, crowds bloomed by 2 p.m. and lines grew long. We benefited from our LLs by having stacked them earlier, when rides were walk-on. We were therefore able to do rides more than once.

If you plan to be there multiple days, I recommend purchasing LL once you arrive, but only do it for some of the days you"ll be there; LL puts some pressure on your day, and it’s good to have at least one day reserved for parades, pictures, and things other than LL rides. Even though you will pay more for LL per day in the parks than on line, you will pay less in the end because you are buying it for fewer days.

If you compare the price of LLMP to the free FPP, it may seem like it’s not worth it.

But if you compare to the LLPP, it seems like a steal. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::rofl:

Also the value of FPP can be inflated in people’s minds because rides like RotR, Tron, GotG, Remy, MMRR, TBA, etc. did not exist back then so naturally they weren’t include. Granted, some of these are LLSP and others are LLMP. But regardless, the parks have a lot more headliners today that didn’t exist 10 years ago so it’s not fair to compare.
