Less crowds in May or September

Was considering going before school ends or right after it starts to avoid big crowds. Anyone have recent experience? We went in early June 2019, and it wasn’t super crowded, but anticipate it might be worse now.

Hi! I love going to Universal and try to go 2 - 4 times per year as an Annual Passholder.

I usually go in mid-late September for Halloween Horror Nights. Be aware that starting in late August one of the two parks - USF - will close by 5pm Wed. - Sunday for HHN until November.

However, it’s still INCREDIBLY hot and Hurricane season. I have had a couple Sept. trips affected by hurricanes.

Crowds have been growing at UOR since the end of the pandemic. However, it’s a smaller set of parks than WDW so, IMHO, it’s and never “super crowded”.

The new “Epic Universe” theme park is scheduled to open Memorial Day 2025. This is definitely going to draw in A LOT more people - especially locals - for all of 2025.

I am expecting my annual HHN trip to be much busier this year than the previous 2 - 3 years. Plus, I’m adding in extra days to make time for this new Epic Universe!
