Anyone have a recommended tour or tour company to see some LA sights? There is Anaheim Tour Company who has several tours that pick up in Anaheim and tour various areas and some studios as well. Warner Brothers and Paramount are the 2 most frequent options. Anyone have an experience or insight?
I have been to the studio tours at both Paramount and Warner Bros, but not as part of a tour from Anaheim. We just drove ourselves there. I enjoyed both tours, would go to both places again. Sorry no help on a company.
We did do a stars homes tour out of LA once though, but it left from Hollywood and Highland area. Also the hop on/hop off tour once.
I kind of love LA and in another life would have wanted to work behind the scenes in the showbiz industry.
Ditto! I can’t go to DL again and not see Hollywood! There is 1 tour that does Rodeo Dr, Hollywood homes, the Chinese theater/walk of fame area, and a Warner Bros studio tour that I’m leaning towards to knock out a lot of stuff in 1 long day. I need more days!
That sounds like fun. My favorite house was John Stamos’ as he had
(has? No idea if it is still there) the D from the Disneyland Hotel sign from the 90’s displayed outside his home.
I don’t remember a lot of the other houses besides it and the Bachelor Mansion, but I loved the tour.
That would be cool to see! I love Uncle Jesse!
Have mercy.
I don’t have advice on tour companies but just thought I’d chime in to say we did the Warner Brothers tour about eight years ago and loved it. Things have probably changed since then but at the time they had the Central Perk set from Friends where you could take pictures and we toured the set of Big Bang Theory. The outside tour was really cool too, seeing all the sets from famous shows.
We had been advised that the walk of fame area was a little sketchy so we just drove through and that proved to be enough for us, lol. But I would have loved to do the tour of star’s homes if we had the time. Enjoy!
From what I’ve read it seems the tour and set visits are very much the same. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Very interested in this for my future planning. I hope you report back.
When(ish) are you looking to go?
I’ll be there in May. I was hoping to see a show taping maybe, but it’s the wrong time of year for that unfortunately.
It is just too far out! Those don’t usually populate until 6-8 weeks out! Definitely stalk the on camera audiences site.
Also, I love the Warner Brothers Studio Tour!
Well I really wanted to see The Price is Right, but they don’t film that late in the year. In fact they did the Mother’s day episode last month. Guess I’ll just have to plan another trip!
Ah, that is too bad. Sometimes there are other fun ones!
