We are going two 1/2 days because of Pandora (morning 1/2 day & night 1/2 day ROL) and 1:30 pm and 9:30 pm were the only FP available. Will we see any animals - too hot at 1:30 & too dark at 9:30? Should we try and rope drop Kil Saf and use the FP for something else?

Day and night safaris are so different ! 1:30 you will see plenty of animals! At 9:30 most likely there will be less but it is a different experience. Usually the lions are active at night.
