Just venting...but why in the heck

So we are 13 people. At some places like Teppan Edo I can book us all together. At others I can’t even break us up into two reservations because for some darn reason the max reservation size is 6. That’s so small, why oh why in the world can’t we do a party of 8 online? Any luck with this over the phone, but ugh, the phone is so 2010! LOL

Thanks!

I bet Disney just doesn’t want a lot large party ADRs. Maybe many get canceled or, if they have to make the table to accommodate a larger party, it throws off the rest of service? Maybe they want you to invest some time in getting the ADR to know you’re serious.

Isn’t there a separate number for group bookings? That might be easier and quicker.

Do you know how much I’ve avoided in life because there was no online option? Lol. Necessities- no. But things that I don’t HAVE to do… Maybe they will get there digital shit together…

This is where I have some Gen X tendencies. There are times and places I just want to pick up the phone and make an appt and not have to download an app, register, create a username and password, then figure out the system. Obviously for MDE we all already have that. But for a pedicure? And I switched pediatricians bc they made it super convoluted to make an appt. I like to just call the receptionist, and have an appointment in 30 seconds.

Sure in the old days when people answered phones instead of a bunch of digital prompts that don’t make match what you need like now lol! I am a xennial and an extrovert and prefer online for this kind of stuff. I went thru the trouble of adding DH to my leading res, so I could do a split for Beak and Barrel but there they let you do 5 and 8. But I’m trying to book a lunch in Epcot and neither of the two choices I was going for will let me do over 6 people which means I’d have to book three and that’s a bridge too far lol.

As the mom of a larger family, I can completely commiserate with what you’re dealing with. NCL was very difficult with 10 of us.

I go to extreme lengths to avoid talking on the phone to anyone. Actually, I go extreme lengths avoiding talking to anyone (I don’t know) in general!

So having to make a call to do something means I have to weigh the option of just not doing whatever the call is about.

I was irritated a few weeks ago when I found a way to connect on-line to a garage door replacement company to set up an appointment. And so I did. And then they still called me to actually set up the appointment!!! Grrrr.

I completely identify with all of this.
