Just got back from the World (and Epic Universe) and already planning for next year

In true liner fashion, I’ve been home for a week and already thinking about next fall’s WDW/UOR trip. Originally I thought our 2026 trip would be Universal focused, but the kids want to make sure we have time at WDW too. We will likely have 5 nights and 4 park days. I wish we had more time, but it is not feasible with current work and school schedules.

Here the initial plan I sketched out tonight. Any suggestions? Am I biting off too much for 4 days? As usual, DW will tell me she is exhausted just hearing about my plans

Arrival evening: Check in to HRH at UOR

Park Day 1: Epic Universe with EP

Park Day 2: Highlights of USO/IOA - Hagrid’s, Forbidden Journey, VelociCoaster, Kong, Spiderman, Mummy, Gringot’s, new fast and furious coaster if open.

That evening drive to WDW, drop off luggage at resort (maybe BLT, BCV or AKL?) and go to 8:30 pm Starlight Safari at AKL.

Park Day 3: GofG LLSP and DHS with LLPP

Park Day 4: EP with LLMP/LLSP and then hop to MK with LLSP for Tron

Phew, that’s a lot.

I’m generally a packer-inner, but if it were me, I’d skip the safari.

Also, is money a concern? Wouldn’t you have to pay for regular AK park tickets in addition to safari tickets? ETA: Oh I just looked it up and I guess it’s different from most Animal Kingdom tours; you don’t need a park ticket.

I’m exhausted hearing about your plans! You seem to be planning to stay at nice resorts, will you get to see the resorts at all? I did 2 nights at AKL with zero parks and still felt like I barely saw it.

This would be a lot for me. But if your whole crew likes the action, I could see it. I would do EP on Day 2 since visiting two parks versus LLPP at DHS. To me LLMP at DHS is enough.

Yes, because it is at AKL and not AK, but …

I think you are right and I need to remove the safari. I wish we were able to go for couple more days so I could spread things out, but I don’t think that is happening anytime in the near-mid future.

No … we would be staying at those resorts for convenience and to save travel time. Wish we had more time for resort exploration.

I always feel like I’m trying to pack so much into our Orlando trips. I call them trips instead of vacations because they are not relaxing (but so much fun)!

The kids and I love the action. Our philosophy in WDW is: “When at Disney World …you don’t eat … you don’t sleep … you play!”

DW on the other hand doesn’t like to give up eating and sleeping

I wish you could too.
I felt like we truly did EVERYthing we wanted. But it took 11 days to do it.

And … I’m now booked for next fall. 2 nights at RP and 3 nights at BLT. A booking makes it seem closer, right?

Based on Liner input I’ve dropped the Starlight Safari from the plans. If you enablers think it’s too much … then it’s too much.

Plan:

Arrival day evening: Check in to RP at UOR (I prefer HRH, but RP was $300 per night less expensive so booked RP instead). I was very surprised by the price difference for a 2 Queen resort view room. I considered Helios too, but the EP for USO/IOA with RP is too good a deal to pass up.

Park Day 1: Highlights of USO/IOA - Hagrid’s, Forbidden Journey, VelociCoaster, Kong, Spiderman, Mummy, Gringot’s, new coaster (if open).

Park Day 2: Epic with EP. When Epic closes, drive to WDW and check in to BLT.

Park Day 3: GotG LLSP, DHS with LLPP, if MK open late then hop to MK

Park Day 4: EP with LLMP/LLSP and then hop to MK with LLSP for Tron

LOL
This makes me happy.

Two weeks ago I couldn’t imagine ever going back & I caught myself yesterday and today thinking I should go the week of the teens next December bc we really didn’t get the full Christmas immersion early November.

You should!
