I was curious, and it didn’t show up on my MDE map at first either, but when I selected Resort Hotels, it showed up.
I want the two bedroom theme park view for my 40th bday celebration but i cant bring myself to pay >$2k/n… need space for 7 tho. Doesnt look like renting points is much of an option either.
So Wailulu is going to be like Geyser Point- walk up only? I think I prefer that model to ADR. It also had a grab and go breakfast. Having something there is nice, so you can get your coffee without having to walk over to the Longhouses.
That’s what I was reading last night and somehow a lot of us missed that. I thought Poly was getting signature ![]()
The menu does nothing for me. I get that it’s a great space and I will probably love that and the cocktails, but the offerings are just not impressive.
I peeked at the menu just to see if they carried the noodz over from ‘Ohana, but no. ![]()
I’m actually glad for that. I wanted this to be a completely different, distinct, signature offering. ![]()
Is that the only dining option they put in? Looks pretty for a drink but that’s disappointing.
I’m interested to see the impact on an already crowded main house and monorail system.
The view is spectacular— I’m torn! Excited to hear all the liners reviews.
Yes ![]()
I thought we were expecting some kind of rooftop dining location?
I thought so too.
My impression:
I love the look, feel, design of the tower. The amenities (pool, food options, service) are OK, but at least they are in a pleasant surrounding. The rooms look awesome.
I would have liked the profile of the building to be more tropical / Polynesian, but it’s not as bland as my initial impression based on concept art.
It appears the duo studios have a limited view with walls blocking both sides. Can’t say that I mind it from a privacy perspective. This particular room still has a gorgeous view. I look forward to seeing what the standard view in the duos look like.
Fully agree. My initial impression was it would be washed out and bland. It has a subtle warmth. I do like the more tropical feel of the original section. But things need to be modernized… I guess, lol.
After checking it out, the place is really nice looking, got some really cool features (like personal hand dryer next to the faucets in the bathroom), and the outside seems nice and relaxing. Overall, it’s bright and airy. Very nice.
But it’s got more in common in “feel” with Rivera & BLT than the current Poly.
Which makes me wonder if the long-term plan is to convert the poly more over to this beige.
The new Lakeview Lodge also has the subdued, modern feel with a neutral pallete. of course I’ve only seen renderings.
Disney dining has gotten so expensive, I am okay with this not being signature!
Oooh, I thought so too. Now that should definitely be signature!
And apparently chartreuse! The one color I cannt figure why keeps slipping into the refurbs…
I am excited to try the menu at Wailulu. There are so many items in the menu that the dairy-allergic members of my family can eat without major substitutions, even a proper dessert!
Well THAT is good news!
This review makes me want to eat there - the ambiance, view, and food!
