My kids have fall break this weekend, but different days. DS17 has no interest in going since he is in the midst of cross country season and runs 7-10 miles a day. Was thinking about taking DS12 and go just the two of us for three nights Fri/Sat/Sun, but looks like there are absolutely no hotel rooms on-site available for those three days. Is that really possible? Crowd calendar doesn’t look that bad.
Anyone have any insight/thoughts?
I found rooms for this dates at Cornado Springs and AKL.
CS was $360 per night and AKL was almost $900.
Would off-site be out of the question?
I love staying in the bubble and not driving. I found CS, but only if I extended from 10/13 to 10/16 as a checkout date. Where did you find CS for those dates?

Many schools are on fall breaks the first two weeks of October, especially schools in the south.

I also just realised that it’s the start of UK schools holiday period too. Most of Scotland schools have the week of the 13th off, much of England will be the follow week.
In general, I find Friday to be the problem when availability is scarce. I didn’t check for your dates specifically but when I knock Friday off, I usually see much more selection. Go figure.
Sometimes you can book a single night at the same resort for the Friday night, just a different category. But that switch is more annoying for such a short stay.
Wish it were for me.
