Hi! Has anyone used “internal” Rider Swap recently? Meaning the non-rider goes in line and the swap happens on the loading platform? (Universal style.) My DS7 is tall enough to ride all rides but does not want to ride roller coasters. We were offered this a couple of times on our last trip but I feel like I never hear about it in practice. I would like to use it for a couple reasons on this trip coming up. Just curious!

I have not used this and have not had it offered to me, but am I correct that they do not allow this if the child is too short to ride? I have always understood that they will not let a rider who is too short to enter the queue as a first line of defense.
In your case this is likely a non-issue, but for my family it would explain why I had never heard of it.

I believe you are correct.
This was offered to me at both Space and 7DMT in 2024. I am sure DS7 was tall enough. I think they were trying to do me a favor but I declined. I think back then DS would have been too spooked thinking I was forcing him to ride. But I think now he would understand that this is faster and that I wouldn’t make him ride.
I think at the end of the day they will “have to” let us do this since we will just say he doesn’t want to ride when we get to the vehicles. They aren’t going to force him to ride! But I more just was curious if they would let us wait and swap and let DS10 ride again.

I think we did something like this in 2023. I am blanking on if they just let the 8 year old wait for us while we rode? I don’t actually remember swapping / riding again.

Some rides load and unload at different points. You’d need to check with a CM for those. It might be they could give you a rider swap and have you use the chicken exit. Unless you’d trust him to use the chicken exit and wait for you there.
