UOR is updating all the wand locations to make them better / easier to activate. I don’t know exactly what they’re doing to “new” wands. However, it’s supposed to be an upgrade over the standard reflectors currently on the tips of wands.
All speculation is that it will roll out some time around the opening Epic Universe across all the parks.
