I'm going home! I have questions

It’s fun to ride some of the Fantasyland rides and Mater’s Jamboree / Pixar Pier rides at night, too. Anything outdoors, really.

Yeah, I was thinking Dumbo is one I love at night, but then thought that might be weird. I just love seeing Fantasyland from up high when it’s lit up at night.

It’s also the more comfortable time to wait in some of those outdoor lines, like Storybookland Canal Boats. And the ambiance at Mad Tea Party is awesome at night.

Not sure I’ll get Athena on that one or Pooh

Oh but it’s so much better than WDW’s version!

Pooh is about the same.

How could I forget the Teacups! Even if you don’t ride them, just watching them with the lanterns lit up is amazing.

I’m not a big fan of Storybook Land Canal Boats at night. It’s too hard to see the miniatures. I like to RD that ride.

Yeah but still might remind her of work!

The seat itself at dessert party is worth the cost. The treats & drinks are just an extra bit. If the heads in front of you will bother you, even though there will be less of them, there’ll be enough to be in view unless you’re on the bridge. If that helps. But if it’s breathing room around you that you also value, then that’s also much easier to come by at the later show (another perk of the dessert party is that you’ll not get anyone in your space no matter what).

We watched late WOC on our most recent trip and there was a person edging up the side next to me at our stroller and kept leaning on different parts of the stroller to balance herself while sticking her phone over the top of my stroller with me standing right there at it. I kept adjusting things on the stroller/leaning on that side of the stroller to get in the space of ours that she was invading and she halfway got the hint but then tried to lean on the collapsible shade that was not sturdy so I (gently) removed her elbow so she wouldn’t break it. But the fact that I had to touch her to get her to not be all over my stuff was annoying. It didn’t help that usually DH & I both stand on either edge to block people from doing exactly that but he wasn’t up for making the walk to DCA from DL so stayed in Town Square while we hopped over to see just WOC. In a seat, you get zero of this!

As for favorite rides at night:

I like the dark rides as your eyes are already adjusted to see much more of them. Roger Rabbit’s queue & all of Haunted Mansion are especially more visible with your vision already adjusted for the dark. Incredicoaster is the same, you have no time to adjust to the darker lighting in the tunnels to see any of it. Plus the outdoor views from it at night are amazing too.

I also like the twinkling lights of Fantasyland (so Dumbo, carousel, teacups). Also, the only time I will concede to riding Autopia or Astro Orbiter are when there is the lighted ambiance with them (so at dusk or later).

You’ve got the rest of the obvious great ones listed too.

Man I really hate peoples sometimes

Pretty sure I’ve talked myself into the dessert party. I know we will all enjoy sitting for the show.

We’ve done the dessert party twice and both were celebratory trip occasions and I regretted zero of the $$$$'s spent for either time. Even though the food was nothing special.

Hey who knows when you’ll be out here again?!

Right?! That’s what DH said when we were discussing it yesterday

My DS and I caught the Guardians Dance Off by accident the first time. We laughed so hard. I would never miss it, hitting at least once on a trip. We watched the full show of Dora Milaje in 2022 and loved it. When we were there in Feb. 2023, it was so chilly out that they only sent out a couple of the performers and only for a few minutes.

Are you going to OBB? I wasn’t able to get tickets. I was occupied until 3 pm the days they went on sale, so really no way for me.

Yes, with Avery on 9/7. I got tickets on the Magic Key release day, it took me 4 hours in the queue to get them.

August 14-18.
