Good for you! I assume pain free? The first run back after injury is always a little nerve-wracking

So far I feel good. I’ve done a few short jogs of like a mile or so and each time the soreness has been less. Today I feel totally back to pre injury. Whooooop!

You should see this 10k route I like to do sometimes, which has nothing to do with the shape of the route. But I laugh every time I see it. On this particular run in the summer I decided to have some fun with my Strava post.

I should explain to non-runners that “bonk” is the term runners use when your body fails you and you just cant run anymore. You may have heard of “hitting the wall”. I had planned to run 6.2 miles (10k) but it was super hot and I only made it 4 miles or so before deciding to walk home.

Amazing!

I think your initial reports of the death of your running career were greatly exaggerated.

I knew you could do it! And 4 miles is nothing to sneeze at. The most I’ve ever run in a row without stopping or walking is like 3.5.
