All the last minute Amazon stuff now won’t get here. The Bound I’ve been planning for Minnie Mouse won’t be here in time. Like. I’m just so tired and this stupid stuff is just making me so sad.
Maleficent ears MIGHT get here. Maybe. But not the polka dot skirts.
One order is now saying 10/1 (I truly think it’s lost. Was ordered last weekend.). And the ones supposed to be here today are now coming after we leave.
Ofc I know it’s a hurricane. And it’s just a whine.
But I am so cranky.
Supportive heart again. That really is a perfect storm of everything between your foot and the hurricane wrecking best laid plans. Any way that on your drive down you could find yourself at a place where you could purchase/thift just the skirt you need? And have a back-up closest thing you currently own that would fit? I’m truly sorry it’s not coming together. I’m always of the mind that when things are going that wrong, it’s just the universe turning me back onto the track I need to be on. #silverlinings (but I totally get frustrated on the way too, like why can’t I just easily be on my path the whole, universe?)
It is totally valid for you to whine! That is so frustrating. Not sure if it helps, but think about how the passport and birth certificate situation worked out so you can go on the cruise at all. Whether or not the items arrive, I think and hope you will have a fantastic time.
I hope the packing is going better now that you’re so close to departure. We actually have our booking window for our New Year cruise open at midnight on Sunday. So I’ll be thinking of you about to start your cruise while I’m trying to book excursions for ours!

Power was restored here at home about an hour ago.
I feel really weird going on vacation when so many of my friends just lost so much. It’s surreal.

I am glad you are able to go…but I can also understand the, shall we say, survivor’s guilt about it.
I think there is a point where everyone experiences tragedy and loss and yet the world around them goes on. It is the nature of life. If we all stopped doing enjoyable things in life because others are experiencing the opposite, the world would grind to a halt. So enjoy your time on the cruise. But it is prudent and caring of you to not want to make your joy so public.
If you have the QR code to scan for boarding you are good! It should be accessible from where you did the online check-in (both from the app or from the website browser).
It should also be attached to an email they sent you when you completed check-in. I’ve never printed it, only kept it saved on my phone (both in my Apple Wallet) and also have the file saved from the email to a folder on my phone that has all our cruise/travel electronic stuff for the trip (i.e. etickets, etc.).
I can’t imagine the feelings around being able to go have fun on an amazing trip while the losses around you at home are what they are. I do think leaving it off IG is the best call for now. We’ll be here to follow along on your TR thread!
And as for the dinner outifts, you will get just as amazing service & good food in whatever outfit you have to pack & wear for dinner. And the pictures, if you’re getting them, will mostly be remembered by your smiling faces together, than the outfits.
I think if you go back into the online check-in there is a place to see the QR code there and somewhere thereabouts is how I added it to the Apple Wallet. But the email works great too!! They just need to be able to scan it! And sometimes all they need is one scan per cabin. (But the only time we’ve seen that is in Port Canaveral, in Miami they scanned each individual person).
I’m assuming you are saying your internet is down? If you have a router you should still be able to use your printer because you will have WiFi and an internal network, just without internet. It could depend on how your printer is set up I suppose.
Our WiFi isn’t being recognized by any devices right now. Which o don’t understand. By it’s too late to play with it. GoOd GriEf . How did it get to be midnight !
If Disney is anything like RCCL, you should be able to control your excursions and such on the ship. I don’t know what the cancellation policy is though.
I think you have to cancel 24 hours in advance. If you can access the app today at some point, it shouldn’t be a problem. If the excursion is on Tuesday, you’ll have to be sure to cancel by Monday morning at the latest.
