This is what I’ve been wondering since the whole “misunderstanding of the question” ruckus.
What, exactly, does staying IN THE PARK after it closes get you? From what I’ve seen and experienced, cast members are quick to usher people out. So being in the park after it closes doesn’t really have much benefit, does it?
I get it at dark, when they are open late or for after hours events. But at this point in time?
I felt it was worthwhile. After BOG we got to enjoy walking through the park briefly after dark, saw the castle lit up, took some photos of empty lit-up park. But pretty much had to keep moving to the exit that late.
After LTT it was earlier (7:45) and we did not feel rushed to leave. There were still several groups of people in the hub taking photos and so on. We lingered there and took photos too, would have taken more time if it weren’t for the approaching storm clouds.
To me the real benefit was extending the shorter day in the park. Instead of taking 90 minutes out of “open” park hours to eat a TS meal, we ate late and therefore were able to use more time for rides etc. Felt like it extended the park day a bit.
Empty park photos. Which is a big deal for a lot of people
This makes sense as a goal to me!
