How is the Food at Great Maple for Dinner?

I am thinking about having dinner at Great Maple on our arrival day, 5 adults and 3 children. The rating on Touring Plans is 79% recommended, Do Not Visit.
Have you eaten there? How was it?

I am holding a reservation for 8, but wondering if we should consider some place else.

I have eaten there multiple times for dinner. Breakfast and lunch too. I think breakfast is the better meal, but dinner isn’t bad. It is very heavy food for the most part (you must get the donuts), and is expensive but that’s really just California food pricing in general. Serving sizes on some of the entrees are huge, so it’s a great place to share meals or plan on a lot of leftovers. Have you all visited Pixar Place since the remodel? If not I would definitely go there and show the kids the lobby, meet Bing Bong with no line, and then have dinner at Great Maple. It would make for a fun first night.

Thank you for the info. We were there in August of 2023, but only saw the pool area. We were staying at the Disneyland Hotel and the slides were under refurb, so we had the option of using the Pixar Place pool.
I want to see the gift shop and the lobby area. The DGDs would love to meet Bing Bong, I am sure. I will check the menu for donuts at dinner.

My daughter and I have also been a couple of times. Like Karen said the food is heavy but so good. Their Old Fashioned was excellent. Our service all 3x was the best in park. ( besides Trader Sam’s )
