Thinking of taking a short trip with my son solely for HHN. I know in the past, multiday tickets have been offered but i cant find for this year. Does these typically get annouced closer to the event date or just not being offered anymore?

Last year they went on sale July 26. I expect them to become available again this year.

Can I just check if I am out of options here? We will be there Friday September 29th and Saturday September 30th. My only option is two single tickets? Do I have to buy express passes at the same time, or can I purchase tickets first and then purchase express passes if I want?

Your best option then is two, single day tickets. You can purchase express up to and on the event day but prices have gone up in the past.
