Hi all,
First time to DL for myself and 3 sons (ages 16, 14, and 10). We have been to WDW three times (plus a one-day sprint for the Halloween party), but DL is a new venture. I scheduled us for July 4-6 (DL, DCA, DL) because of the blockouts for many of the Magic Key holders that weekend–from one day to the next I can’t decide if it was genius or if I’m going to regret going on a holiday. 
No hoppers, but planning to buy LLMP for days 1 and 2. (That will also be a new experience–I loved FP and learned how to use it well from Liners, but refused to buy Genie+ on principle after they did away with FP.) I’ve been doing a lot of reading, but I’m hoping for help with planning some of the night time shows since I don’t have a great understanding of walk times, crowd placement, etc in DL, and there are 4th of July fireworks in addition to the regular shows during our trip.
- If we have two nights at DL (7/4 and 7/6), how would you recommend scheduling? F! and PTN are priorities but would also like to see the projection shows and fireworks. My kids are generally night owls, so can probably hang with later shows. I’ve been trying to read up on dining packages–do you feel they are worth it with the available seating for F! and PTN? Would a holiday weekend make them more valuable/necessary? Which restaurants for which shows would you recommend, if so? (For additional context, my middle son has ARFID, so “safe” foods are somewhat limited for him–prefer not to invest in the most expensive meal options.)
- For VQ for WOC at DCA, are both shows available at the noon release, or are there two separate VQ times? Would you say BG1 is necessary for attempting the VQ?
- What else, if anything, should I use BG1 for? I used it for VQs at WDW, but since I never used Genie+ I never got the hang of using it for LL.
