Hello, I’m looking at the crowd calendar for March 2 2026 and just learned there will be a marathon while we gonna be there. (MK 6 - EP 8 - HS 8 - AK 8)
We are staying at Caribbean Resort, I’ve seen that it will be really difficult to go to MK in the morning. So I think we should take advantage of the Skyliner, letting us 2 option EP and HS.
While this TP predict an higher then avarage crowd in those park I’m struggling wich one to choose.
So I’m looking for you experience and advice to help me choose a plan for that day.
Epcot is supposed to be hard to reach caused by the marathon in the parking, so arriving by the Skyliner at International entrance seems a good plan, and switch to MK in the afternoon. But mabe the marathon crowd will overwhelm the park.
Hollywood Studio is my go to if your experience tells me not to go to Epcot and switch to MK in the afternoon after the road are open.
Thank you
We’ve been there during a few races, also staying at the Caribbean, and I think you have the right idea. As long as you avoid traveling to any park via the roads the morning(s) of the race(s) you should be fine visiting either Epcot or HS. I personally have never noticed crowd differences with the runners so I think switching to MK in the afternoon will be okay.
Also I’m not sure how much of an early riser you are but if you aren’t gonna be getting to the parks until about 10am, you really could go anywhere. The runDisney races are SO early that everything is back to normal road-wise by mid-morning.

The only thing you’ll really have to worry about is the “clang clang clang” of people’s medals all over the parks. It’s not too bothersome, but just something to keep in mind.
There is only one day of the year where there is a full marathon, and that is in January. The half marathon in your weekend in question is on March 1.
One thing about timing for these races is that runDisney is VERY strict when they mean 16 minutes per mile. There are a lot of hard cut offs. Basically, at 7:38 AM SHARP, the front gate to Magic Kingdom will be closed to runners. If you’re running and you’re not past that gate by that time, your race is over. That’s not the only place. There will be busses all over the course, and they will pick people up and tell them that time’s up.
But for park goers, most of the parks will be operating pretty much like normal. The only real impact is the Epcot parking lot, where there will be more cars than typical. But that’s about it.
Yes it’s seems to be the yoga only that I just found the info.
Is there a special holiday that weekend in USA?
I don’t understand why Magic Kingdom crowd is predicted to be low all the weekend and all the other park high.
I plan to rope drop, that’s why I was interested by the street closure. But I’ve found more info and it’s seems to be yoga only on the Monday.
Monday is just Yoga, yes. No actual races are on that day. They will set that up overnight, people will come in for the yoga session, and then it will all be cleaned up before the park opens. If you didn’t know it was happening, you wouldn’t know it happened.
