Does anybody know when HM closes for the Nightmare Before Xmas overlay that begins Aug. 22.
It seems like it takes about 14-17 days or so in years past before the overlay starts. We are at the parks July 31-Aug 2 and have a Haunted Mansion crazed young girl that would hate to miss the regular version!

Until the calendar goes out to that early-mid August timeframe, it’s just a guess based on prior years. And they keep moving up the start of Halloween (used to be after Labor Day weekend, then the Friday before, then the week before) and now we’re at Aug 22. Which is a lot earlier than past years, so it’s hard to say.
As the calendar gets out to your dates, (right now it’s up to June 10), I would check the Haunted Mansion attraction page to see what schedule they list for it.

And continue to keep an eye out until you leave because it’s subject to change and could be suddenly re-scheduled to be down right before your dates. They try to avoid it, but sometimes when a ride is already scheduled and something comes up just before a planned refurb, it can change their plans and schedule.
