We’re staying at Hard Rock during Thanksgiving week. I just noticed someone mentioned online that it’s undergoing renovations from now through Autumn 2025? I also saw it on a random travel agent website, but I can’t find anything official.
Anyone know what’s going on? I chose Hard Rock partially because there were no renovations scheduled when I booked it.
I can only find references to renovations on third party hotel sites. No where on Universal’s own sites do they mention any renovations currently happening for HRH.

I check into HRH on Friday so I can let you know! There was no mention of renovations when I made my reservation so I hope not.

I really hope there isn’t renovation. I stayed at Portofino a couple times this year and it was rough at times (but discounted so I dealt with it😂).

They are renovating the bathrooms of specific rooms - one section of the hotel at a time.
The TM said it’s not a “big” enough project for UOR / Loews Hotels to consider it a “renovation” that would disturb guests.
I would try to ask HRH at check-in to verify which section is doing the bathrooms and put you in another section if you are concerned that you might be affected.
Interesting. I wonder what the bathroom renovation involves. I wonder if I can request a renovated one?
OH!! I would definitely ask that!! That way you get a new bathroom in an area where the work has already been finished!

Great info, thank you! Lucky for us our flight lands in the morning. Maybe we can get there before most and end up with a renovated bathroom, or at least a room away from current renovations.
I completely meant to respond after my trip. We don’t get a renovated room but I asked about it. They are redoing all the bathrooms. 60% of them will have just a shower and the other 40% will have a tub/shower combo.
They are also replacing carpet in the halls and changing the decor a bit.
It’s super weird but they are replacing the carpet in sections. This was our hall. The striped section is old and the blue patterned stuff is new.
This in the hall is new as well.
Oddly, to me, the blue pattern looks like it’s been walked on for decades!! 
I was going to say the same thing! Maybe it looks different in person but… from this photo the old looks new and the new looks old 
I totally thought the same thing!! I actually asked again when they said that. I thought I had heard incorrectly.

The bellman told my husband that we are the first ones to stay in our rooms since they were redone. I don’t know what they did in here, but it wasn’t enough. The walls are barren save for one piece of art. And the storage is seriously lacking. Especially in the bathrooms. And the bedding is boring. The space itself is nice, but I expected more theming or something. And more drawers.

Did they redo the actual club? I’ve always thought it was way too small.
