Halloween Party Planning

My sister-in-law and I are planning a trip in late September for a few days - girls trip, no kiddos. The main reason we’re going is because she’s wanting to do the Halloween party. We’re trying to plan travel days, hotels, etc. but it sounds like they don’t release the dates until around April. Does anyone know in previous years how accurate Touring Plans’ predictions of Halloween party dates were this far in advance? Right now, its predicting a Friday night and Sunday night party. We’d like to plan on the Sunday night but want to make sure our travel days align with at least one party day.

This far out, TP bases the calendar on a “Donor” (representative) date from the past. Depending on how many days a “few” represents, it is difficult to determine from the current calendar if those days would bracket a party night.

We’re planning to fly down on Friday and home on Monday, BUT we can tweak those dates since we’re primarily going for the party.

I can’t imagine Disney would reduce the amount of party days. Touring Plans would predict parties to follow the same pattern of days as past years. I would expect those predictions to be pretty dependable and I would plan my trip based on the Touring Plans dates.

While it’s not a guaranty, I’d be very surprised in there was a Sunday night in late September that did not have a Halloween party. Sunday nights have been party nights at WDW for many years. I suppose a very rare exception might be if the MK is reserved that night for a private event.

I believe holiday weekends are an exception to the Sunday night parties, but that only applies to Labor Day weekend in September.
