We were looking at visiting Disneyland on Sept 5-7, as all of the historic crowd calendars suggest this should be a low crowd level time as the weekend after Labor Day. We saw that there is a new Halloween half Marathon on the 6 and 7.
Should we expect that crowd levels will actually be high? Everything we read suggests the runs tend to make the crowd levels go crazy. Thank you.

If the run weekend is over a holiday weekend with limited passholder blockouts that’s when I would expect crazy crowds. If there either isn’t a holiday weekend and/or passholder blockouts, then it may be crowded but not crazy crowded. If it’s hot (which early September is some of the hottest California weather), then that will reduce the number of regular passholders who can go another day.
With RunDisney the craziest of the crowd tends to be re: hotel accommodations. Rooms are always lower in inventory/higher in price. But the crowds in the park are always manageable (unless it’s a holiday weekend). Since the 6/7 is the week after Labor Day I don’t expect it to be a crazy weekend. But because of the run event and Halloween season starting up, it will be more crowded than the usual “low crowd” day that weekend can usually be.
