Group trip planning questions

Hello,

A little info before my questions-

Bringing family— their first trip!!!

I have a trip where I got a bounce back room for my family and another family. Tickets and room on my account. They have never been, I have their names on my profile and their tickets.

We downloaded the app on one of their phones— mostly so they have the map and can mobile order.

I was going to link their magic bands. Do I link them on the names in my account (with the tickets) Or on her Disney account— so she can mobile order or pay with magic band?
Since the tickets are on my account— should I be linking the magic bands to mine? Or the tickets won’t register when we are there?

It’s possible I made this too complicated.

Thanks for any help!

Link them on their accounts. MagicBands are attached to the PERSON not the trip or details. The PERSON links to the trip or details in their account

They should have their own account (they should add any children under 18 in their accounts as well)
You should request to link up as family and friends
THEN, link the hotel reservations to your account and add them as guests
They should then be able to see the reservation in their account
Add them as guests to any other plans you make going forward, like ADRs, and they will see them in their account (and you’ll see them on the ressies that are in your account)

You should be able to do the same with the tickets

Make sense?

One of my favorite things about Disney trips :sparkles:

It’s all so even more magical. Kind of even more since it’s adults that have always wanted to go. so exciting.

We traveled with my sister’s grandkid several times to WDW. Then thought one trip to ask the other grandparents if they wanted to tour with us. To our surprise they did. Their first trip to WDW!

He always seemed so serious. On the morning they were leaving for WDW, she said he turned to her and said, M-i-c k-e-y M-o-u-s-e!

Thanks to Disney we were introduced to his fun :sparkles: side.

It was. They were so glad to be at Disney. So glad to spend time with their grandkid, which is why they were there. But they weren’t shy about stiking out on their own.
Our plan is always head out of a park before noon. Our first morning was HS and by about 11:30 the congestion was building. We explained we were heading back. Papa R said we’re going to stay awhile and we said you do you. He and Granny M arrived back at our villa just 2 hours later. He said I see why you leave, it’s not worth staying. Too many people and it’s too warm!

That evening we went to Epcot to eat at Marrakesh. They were a little leery but game. Wound up loving their food, the service, everything.

They were at WDW 5 days and that’s pretty much how each day went. They were glad to see and do and eat and rest in between.

So fun.

We have the same plan- out by noon then going back at night time. I think with the summer heat it’s the best bet. Hard to want them to see it all but knowing there is not enough time! We haven’t even seen it all and we have been quite a few times as a family. Hoping to hit the highlights!

Between bathroom going, photopass and darting into a shop, highlights are basically all you can do.

Altho, I’m reminded that after a while I wised up - at least at MK. We’d enter Tomorrowland at maybe 8:30 am (grabbing a time out of thin air) and I’d say I’m here until 10 am when I’m moving on. If you’re going with me have all your stops done by then. You’re welcome to do your own thing. Some would head to Buzz, or Space or a shop. Invariably they’d all meet up with me and at Fantasyland I’d say, I’m here until 11:30 am (etc etc).

Sometimes tho folks just wanted to be together and we’d move as one big group. I didn’t mind

The thing I really mind is photo pass folks who won’t arrange a group. If folks don’t clump up a little, they’ll be too small in the photo. :woman_facepalming:t2:
