Grocery services

As far as purchasing groceries at the resort, if you have an AP you can use the 20% discount on the grocery purchase.

If you buy things in the shop/store you AP or DVC discounts will be applied. If you place an order through the WDW resort page your DVC discount is applied.

To confirm, as I haven’t done this since whenever Omicron burst on the scene, Bell services will still hold your grocery delivery for you, they just charge a fee to store/deliver to room? We won’t be in the room the day I want the groceries delivered, so I want to make sure they’ll hold them till we get back from the park and call and have them delivered. Thanks! This is how it used to work but I just want to make sure it’s the same.

Yes, they will hold them for you. They charge a $6 (last time I checked) fee, which @PrincipalTinker clarified is just for delivery to your room, not for storage, so if you go pick it up from Bell yourselves you won’t be charged the fee. Also if it’s delivered to your room you will want to tip.

I’ve never tried to have them store it overnight (which I mention just in case anyone is wondering), but you should be fine to have them deliver any time that day.

Yup the email said “This is an email confirmation from Garden Grocer letting you know your groceries will be delivered to Disneys Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and they will be waiting for you in bell services. Any perishable items will be refrigerated/frozen. When you are ready for your groceries to be delivered to your room, please contact bell services directly and they will bring your groceries to your room.”

I used Garden Grocer before so did again this time.

Yes but I don’t think Bell Services will accept any alcohol though.

They did last time in 2022 (Jan). At least for me they did.

For a while they continued to accept Garden Grocer alcohol but I think that has stopped. Garden Grocer was sold to a new owner in the last couple of years.

Good to know.. I can’t drink right now and DH is a Scotch drinker which they ain’t carrying what he wants (He’s a Scotch snob) so I didn’t even try this time. DS21 also doesn’t drink at all, never has in his life. Not interested at all in not being in control.

It was changed relatively recently I think.

The cirrent language is saying you have to upload ID ahead of time (the old process) and then present ID at bell service, so maybe they worked something out?

I’m going by the Disney policy which I have read before (somewhere), not what a grocery service says. I’ll see if I can find a source that is not Plan Disney.

Garden Grocer used to be the one exception for Disney after the change.

Yes, those are the change in rules but as noted, it appears as if Garden Grocer continues to have their special deal with Disney (although it is now slightly different).

I have an order with Garden Grocer for next month. Now I am tempted to add alcohol to test it out!

Test the alcohol…or it’s delivery?

Definitely both

I switched to Water Butlers my last trip but they don’t offer alcohol.
