Groceries? Nearby store, or delivery?

Is there a grocery store conveniently located nearby or am I best off having groceries delivered?

And if delivered, who would you use?

We are staying at Grand Cal

I can’t help with your question, but just wondered, when will you be there? I will be there with my son May 10-15, also at the Grand Californian.

I am interested to know if anyone has an answer to the grocery question.

There is a Target south of the parks on Harbor if you will have a car. I pretty much always order through Instacart and have it delivered these days. It’s just easier.

Walgreens and CVS will have decent stock of packaged snacks, and staples of foods for the room. They are a bit closer being both at the corner of Harbor and Katella, but still a little long for walking with a haul of bags, but you could walk there and uber back if you don’t have a car. There’s also a Walmart neighborhood market a little bit off Ball Dr on Anaheim Blvd. But their selection isn’t too much more than the convenience stores.

Instacart is definitely the easiest of all the options.

I’ve done the Walgreens shopping on both of our visits, but we didn’t have a DVC set up and I was on Harbour. It did have a larger store and broader selection than why we have at home.

Be advised you have to pay for bags.

Just to piggy back on this topic, how is the water in Disneyland? Florida water is so gross we always buy a case of bottled. Should I do the same for DL, or is it better tasting?

Good question! I was just automatically going to buy some out of habit, but maybe that’s not necessary!

It is just fine to drink. Nothing like WDW water. There are lots of water bottle refill stations so I pretty much never buy water there. In WDW I always have a case of water.

The water is fine. I get free ice water from quick service restaurants if I don’t feel like carrying a water bottle.

We are fairly picky and there used to be a couple of fountains we’d swear by but they’ve been replaced (one was in Toontown and the other in Pooh Corner) but we do drink plenty of the quick service free ice water and that’s fine. And there are a lot of bottle refill stations now too and those are fairly decent. They are definitely better than WDW.

Thanks everyone! We will gamble and try California water. What’s the worse that could happen, I become more liberal :winking_face_with_tongue:

You made me LOL. That’s awesome.

However, I can confirm that drinking a week’s worth of So Cal water did not affect my ideology. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
