As a newer fan who can barely keep them straight (far, far away from expert) why is 1 not even in the list?
Itās the least favorite and mostly because of Jar Jar Binks.

Oh yes. I loathe Jar Jar.
(One of my kids is convinced he will return as Enemy Number One. I so hope they are wrong.)
Itās a tough choice. On the downside, it has Jar Jar. On the upside, it has one of the best fights and musical numbers with Duel of the Fates.
But mostly, nothing much of any significance happens in Episode 1 that is either not missed or isnāt touched on again in Episode 2. You get some Easter eggs I guess with the building of C3P0 and the introduction of R2D2, but the important things are pretty much repeated and reviewed in the first 15 minutes of Episode 2. For me itās less of a āI hate itā and more of a āin the grand scheme of things it isnāt really missedā kind of scenario.
Truth be told, Iāll probably show them Episode 1 as wellā¦
