Geyser Point vs Geyser Point to go

Is it crowded for lunch around 12:30/1:00? Where is the walk up wait list? I didn’t know about that until this thread. I am planning to eat here for our arrival day since we don’t have to be there at a certain time like an ADR.

You can join the wait list on MDE which is what I did, or at the restaurant. To join on the app you have to be in close enough proximity to the resort, it didn’t work on the bus ride over but works from the WL lobby or rooms (not sure about boat but probably the dock).

I didn’t either until I did sone rewarding. Its really deceptive- the website just says QS - I don’t even consider it that. Its more like a casual TS that doesn’t take ADRs.

That’s exactly it.

I think the QS comes from when it had the dining plan and you could get a meal (and drink) for 1 QS credit.

That makes sense and would be a deal! They should make the process clearer on the website.

Well sure - but as you’ve seen here it’s a little tricky to explain what it’s got going on

I will also say that since it opened, how people are seated has changed.

For a long time they did not seat you. Then, there was someone seating people for limited hours. Last month it seemed like they were seating people at least until 9pm.

I personally don’t think that Disney does itself any favors with this hybrid-style restaurant. Like if you are going to be a TS, take ADRs. If you are going to be QS then don’t seat people. It’s hard enough to plan!

@Flutegarden I don’t think that lunch is too bad! But if you are short on time or worried, there is an app called FakeMyGPS (not kidding) that take a little bit of effort but you could join the waitlist from anywhere.
