Getting hotel rooms close to each other

For my trip in December we have two separate room reservations. Is there some way of guaranteeing in advance that the two rooms will be reasonably close together?

Call guest services and ask for a “travel with” number
This will tell Disney you are a travel party and should be kept close to one another
When you make room requests on each reservation, reference the other.

And…, you can always go to the front desk as soon as you arrive to make sure you are near by. They can be pretty accommodating when you are face to face
