Free refills on resort mugs

Well, no, we didn’t.

Well…we did…for years. But then, sometime back before our 2016 trip, we decided not to keep them and finally tossed them. They were taking up quite a bit of space in our cupboards. Kind of regret it, but what can you do?

Right. But to honor the commitment that Disney made when they sold those mugs, some people have been given new mugs free to use for length of stay. Since they were entitled to the free refills.

Maybe this is a dumb question but how does it work for a regular purchase of a fountain drink from the machines? I’ve only ever had the mug in the past but the disposable cups must work at the machines and they can’t possibly have RFID?

I think they do have a chip that only allows you to use it once.

They do actually have some type of chip even in the disposable ones and it comes with two refills. And it will tell you how many you have left when you place it on the machine.

Hmmm. OK now I want to swing by All Star Music just to try my mug from 2000.
