are you crazy busy when new dates/promotions open like this?
… it would be zero
Sometimes. This time yes. People generally flock for free dining.
The difference here - and it’s a good one - is right now I’ll be quoting rack rate for the room, but when discounts come out, I can apply those discounts AND keep the free dining, whereas usually free dining is linked to specific rooms/dates/categories/resorts/etc
riiiiight- haha! any idea what it is in 2025? i know it’s probably date based, but a ball park is fine. i’m just wondering approx how much free dining is saving. We’d have two adults and two children. Though it’d probably be quick service, not DDP…
30.56/nt plus tax
So I tried to book the campsites and it wouldn’t let me enter in my equipment details so I was stuck and needed to call. I was in hold for 1.5 hours. CM said they were getting a lot of calls about it. Just a heads up to the TAs and anyone booking FW.
In 2026, campsites will be limited to 8 people, down from the current 10. That’s for arrivals Jan 1 and beyond.
Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Will Reduce Number of Guests Allowed Per Campsite in 2026
Interesting but I get it. Many campgrounds have limits.
Wow it’s 10 right now? That seems like a LOT!
There are reports that the kids eat free is available with DVC stays. The report says you can add the adult dining plan on your dashboard and the kids are added for free.
If I had to guess, probably more about preventing folks from adding others to a reservation who aren’t actually staying on property to get access to on site benefits kind of thing. Maybe? Then again…are you allowed to add more adults beyond the first two without paying extra? Not sure how campsites work.
I know before COVID there was a lot of abuse of using campsites even for those who weren’t even bothering to stay on property.
I just saw that while having lunch and was coming here to say so!
I wonder if that’s a glitch in that they can’t separate DVC dining from dining. But whatever get it while it’s hot if it applies!
Yeah as you say that’s been going on for forever. It’s why the campsite (tent) prices went so high, which is ridiculous that had to happen. But selfish people will always screw things up for everyone. And 8 vs 10 is not cracking down on anything - or at least not cracking down very hard.
I wonder if it’s more about noticing overcrowding/noise issues/wear and tear on the sites themselves?
Just realized that I only have 2 “kids” by the Disney definition. So I’d have to pay for DDP for 4 people and get 2 free… seems like it might not be worth it given my kids’ lack of appetites. One can hope that by next year they will be ravenous eaters.
Campsites don’t care ratio of adults to kids. I’ve rented WDW sites multiple times without adding any wear or tear to the property.
I would say that’s so not worth it if a child price is ~30 per kid, if your “adult” kids don’t eat much.
Remember, though, that not everyone is so considerate
I am booked for June 2026. Should I be seeing a water park ticket under my tickets?
I didn’t think it showed up as a ticket…only that you can go to a water park on arrival day. (Is that what we are talking about?)
You should see a message that there is a free water park visit but on check in day you will see the ticket in MDE under “tickets and passes”.
