Free Dining Plan For Kids in 2026

Sorry, I should have clarified - the part of the package I don’t need is the room since I have DVC. So does that mean this deal is a no-go for me?

Oh

Yeah DVC gets nada

This really should be mentioned as something to consider when deciding whether it makes sense to buy DVC or not. It isn’t discussed much, but the thing is…since once you buy DVC, Disney sees you as a “built-in” going to book something, they have no reason to incentivize DVC owners with any of the deals.

Do we ever see deals which apply to DVC (other than “Membership Extras” which is mostly just incentive to get you to pay more for your points) guests?

(That isn’t to suggest there aren’t plenty of reasons to NOT buy DVC…)

Not that I am aware of.

But also it’s two different arms of one bigger company. So it really shouldn’t be viewed as apples to apples.

I still have to remind myself that I am saving a lot of money by staying on points. I never would have been able to afford the room I stayed in for my trip to Hawaii without DVC, for example.

DDP is rarely a good deal for me, even when it’s “free,” but in this case I do feel a little left out.

Disney Magical Express

The free ride from the airport that made it really easy to show up at MCO, go right into the bubble and not even think about trying to leave it until it was time to go back to the airport home.

The first time we came to WDW without it, I really hated it and wanted it back.

BUT the tradeoff of not having it available as an option means we mostly will rent a car, giving ourselves the flexibility of going to the store or nearby for offsite late nigh snacks/food that don’t seem to be very easily accessible if limited to what Disney transportation can take you to.

But the 1 trip we were able to use it for, it was really dreamy to show up at the airport (skip getting the bags because they went straight from where we checked them back at home to our onsite resort), get on the bus straight without needing car seats, taking off for the resort within a few minutes and just be on vacation.

I say this all the time. Having just paid out a cash price at YC (which I know is not DVC but is DVC-adjacent and deluxe) at a SEVERE discount, there’s no way on this green earth I could ever stay in the places I’ve stayed in almost exclusively since 2018

I see they are offering free water parks but only in summer months- hopefully that means both will be open during the summer like this year.

I noticed that - I’m curious what exactly the timing of this will be.

WDW heard that my family (and many others) are planning to stay on-site at Universal in 2026.

You tipped your hand by filling out one of those surveys, didn’t you? * sigh *

I can do this?! Book a room and then call to add a DDP!?

You should be able to. It’s a ticketless package. You could just call to do the whole thing that way from the start - and then your deposit would be $200 be one night’s stay (and also you would have 30day final payment)

On the Disney Dish and in the Orlando Sentinal they are reporting significant decreases in Canadian travel to Central Florida. Overall, international visitors are 20% of Disney visitors.

Exciting!

This offer is intriguing–my last baby will be a Disney adult by the time we go back. TIme passes so fast! :face_holding_back_tears:

What I don’t like about how it’s presented as you build your package is that you can’t see the zero-dollars-cost of the kids’ dining plan. I know I’ll get plenty of questions about that. May as well make my spreadsheet now…

Yeah! I was playing with plans yesterday and haaaated that it didn’t tell me how much it cost for an adult plan vs a child’s plan. No idea how much I’m saving! Except that I priced it out yesterday so I guess if I priced it out today, I could subtract the costs and call it a day

Except that yesterday you couldn’t price 2026 packages, and it’s likely the pricing changed

Cost per adult (or child 10+) is 98.59 plus tax
