Feedback on Plans

Hello! I’m in my last 24 hours before I print these out. I would LOVE some feedback.

  1. HS: Custom Touring Plan: Hollywood LL
  2. MK: Custom Touring Plan: MK - LL
  3. USF and IOA in one day.
IOA to start: Custom Touring Plan: UA - My own
USF to end: Custom Touring Plan: USF-Step 2 my own

Thank you!!!

As I said on your other thread, your MK and HS plans have things that need to be moved earlier if you want to do them - MK Railroad, HS Indiana Jones show and Beauty and the Beast show. That’s why they don’t have times showing in your arrival columns. You can either manually move them to earlier times, before they are done for the day, or hope you get LL that will shrink up the waiting times for much of the other things before them. It does you no good to try to watch the 8:00 fireworks show at 11:00 pm at MK.

Im not seeing a post on an earlier thread

Where do you see 11 pm for a show? I do not.

The reason why items dont have times is because of the end time I entered for the park, there is no time left from my understanding. Too many rides planned. But i also dont think it will take over an hour at early entry to wait for the 1st ride. Or I hope not.

Or for example. Slinky dog. I have a LL, how on earth will the wait time be that long?

I think that statement was making a point. (In the MK plan, you are showing up for HEA at 11 pm, but the show is at 8 pm.)

At HS, you have arrival times for Indiana Jones and for Beauty and the Beast which are well after the last show time. So I think his point is that…showing up at 7 pm for a 4:30 pm show isn’t going to work so well!

RotR is frequently down at rope drop. When we were there in January, it didn’t open until after 12 one day, and not until close to 1 am the day we were there. So be ready to pivot on that one.

As of right now, when you rope drop, the assumes you are middle of the pack. It is hard to truly be front of the pack…so the wait time will be fairly high. There is an update coming to the app soon that will allow you to tell the software that you WILL be front of the pack. Just make sure you are, or else your plans will be off from the start.

I don’t think you need a LL for the shows (Frozen Sing-along).

You wait times for things such as Slinky is because you are arriving well outside your LL window. The software assumes you are waiting standby as a result.

You may want to use Optimize instead of Evaluate once first so that it finds the best times for you. After that, you can manually rearrange things and then re-evaluate…but you need to pay attention that your arrival times make sense for your LLs and shows.

I also don’t see any breaks or stopping for meals in your plans. (Other than CRT.) A plan without breaks and stopping for food isn’t realistic.

I just noticed you have three separate threads for this. You should only have one.

I havwnt want to uae optimize any more because they are in the order i hope to have them for walking. That update wont help me unless its next week. I shouldnt arrive to slinky outside of my LL because frozen is a burner.

Okay. I see. Probably should have just had in the OP the specific parks associated with the category, or just had one post with all of them. It was confusing to have them mixed in multiple posts is all.

What I would do in that case is remove Frozen altogether and insert a break there instead with a note indicating that it is a burner LL for Frozen…that way the plan doesn’t allocate “time” to the attraction, throwing off your plan.

You will not use the app? If you open your plans in the app you can mark attractions as complete and optimize in the park to reflect real time conditions. For example, if your next attraction is currently broken down it will move something else to do next.

Since I’ve been “summoned” I’ll chime in on your UOR plans… :man_genie:

IOA

I’m confused as to why you don’t go to Hagrid’s at RD? You’ve listed that you’ll have Express Pass (UXP) for the day. This is the only ride at all of UOR that doesn’t offer this.

If you get to the park 45+ minutes before Early Park Admission (EPA) you’ll be able to be on Hagrid’s in about 30 minutes or less…

You can then go do Hippogriff before the wait builds and FJ all while it’s still EPA without the need for UXP.

With this being a Sunday in the “offseason” you shouldn’t experience much of a wait during EPA or even afterwards. You’ll most likely still be able to get over to VC and ride without needing UXP. You can still use UXP if you want for EPA or do UXP for a repeat ride on these…

You say you want to do VC, but don’t have it listed in your plans??

Also, even with mobile order I’d give more than 20 minutes to eat at Three Broomsticks unless you are just grabbing a hot butterbeer and leaving. If you are eating I’d give at least 30 minutes or so…

You should definitely give yourself about 10 more minutes for Ollivander’s. It’s hit-or-miss if you can get right in or you’ll have to wait. It’s all dependent on if it’s fully staffed that morning and they like to wait until they have a “full” show before starting. I’ve walked right in a few times, but have gotten there only to wait 15 minutes until they were ready / enough people were there.

You are skipping one of my “must-do” rides… Jurassic Park River Adventure!! It’s my all-time favorite flume ride at ANY park. (I’ve done Tiana’s/Splash multiple times and like JPRA more)

You will get a bit wet, but not “soaked”… The Toon Lagoon rides are the ones that leave you completely drenched…

If you do go to JPRA, I’d see if the Raptor Encounter is open - starts at 10am. It’s one of the marquee experiences you always see in the commercials! It would be like going to WDW and not meeting Mickey or Donald!

I don’t know the ages of your group, but will say that “Oh! The Stories You’ll Hear” is aimed for very young audiences - like Kindergarten - 3rd grade. It’s a nice little story time.

FYI - It is outdoors with no seating.

I mentioned you didn’t give enough time at breakfast, but you’ve yourself way too much time at Croissant Moon Bakery. It’s just a QS bakery / grab & go location. There are a very limited number of tables, but not enough to plan on being able to get an indoor seat. The food is very good though!! My wife insists on eating there each visit. It’s her “safe” place to eat as she doesn’t like “wacky” theme park foods!

Also, it a VERY long walk from Croissant Moon Bakery back to the Hogwarts Express. I’d pick another eatery for lunch if you want to ride HE over to Diagon Alley at that time. You could walk to the other park faster from how close you are to the park entrance / exit!!

Maybe Three Broomsticks for lunch instead of breakfast??

If you really don’t want to jog up to Hagrid’s at RD you could grab breakfast at CMB if it’s on your “must eat” list of places. Then do all the other EPA attractions with little waits. 90% of the people at EPA are there for Hagrid’s

USF

Why no Men In Black ride?? It’s a fun “shooter” like Buzz Lightyear! It’s my favorite of this type of ride!

Also, NO MUMMY??!!?? It should be a crime to go to UOR and not ride Revenge of the Mummy!! Until Hagrid’s it was my favorite ride at UOR!

My two favorite entertainment shows at all of UOR are Bourne and Tales of Beetle the Bard (Diagon Alley)

You really should give yourself more time in Diagon Alley overall and time to see this show. Do get up close to the rope to be able to hear the audio better.

If you want to talk to the Knight Bus driver I’d plan a little more time for that experience to wait your turn to talk to him and his shrunken head helper.

If you do have small kids they’ll want to spend more time in the DreamWorks Destination area. Otherwise, you should skip TrollerCoaster. It’s a very small coaster meant for little children…

(Hippogriff is also a “kiddie coaster”, but I like the animatronic and view of Hogwarts / Hogsmeade)

Hope this helps! Please feel free to tag me if you have questions!

Unbelievably helpful, thank you!!

1, I have had hagrids at the top and moved it after watching a video that said everyone would be there and come back later. I think I’ll move it back up and if over 30 min wait? Plan b.

  1. VC is out for my fam. too scary. Possibly forbidden?

  2. Which side would you buy the wand? I read to do that at early entry but would be on IOA side and heard spells are harder there? We won’t do VC. Hoping the kids will do hagrids and forbidden. How scary are the drops at the river adventure? I saw there was a 75 or 85 ft drop for both water rides?

  3. I keep going back and forth on the rides in Seuss. I have a 7 yr old that may enjoy some?? which ones?

  4. Good call on croissant. Food looked good for us all!! sandwiches

  5. How much time do you think for these two? I have 11, 10 and 7 yr old interested in HP/will get a wand. We don’t know if we like rides yet (thrill ones).

  1. Mummy looks good just didn’t know if I could fit it. Men in Black I’ve been given mixed reviews.

  2. Need to cut some items with only have one day to do both parks. Which would you do knowing our story? Do we start at IOA, train to USF and back to IOA? Or finish everything in one. We have a dinner reservation btwn 4-5 pm. then want to see mardi gras parade. Anything else at night with that going on?
