That would be fun!!
We love it here! Also on my list of places/things to do.
There is also a rum distillary with tours in Key West and the Audubon House/Tropical Gardens.
My DH wants to do the Dive museum as well. I’m most excited about the food.
Ryan really liked the dive museum and added it to our list.
We live in Marathon, so most familiar with that area. We have a membership at the Dolphin Research Center. It’s enjoyable, and they’re in their natural habitat which was important to us. It’s small, so can be combined with other activities that day, such as Crane Point. The Turtle Hospital is also here, and while we haven’t been yet, it’s highly recommended. I’ve been to see one of their turtle releases and that was very moving. One experience we did in Key West was a speakeasy, and it was a top notch adults only kind of night out with fantastic entertainment. I believe they are only open Tues and Sat atm. If you would like deets on that, let me know.
absolutely
I’ve only been to Key West and only on cruises (twice)
Both times I LOVED kayaking throught he mangroves with Lazy Dog Kayak Company and renting bikes downtown to ride around the island on our own. Loved riding, especially, to the fort (Fort Zack Taylor) and exploring there and spending some time on the beach - very quiet and away from the touristy areas!
It’s called Follow the Rabbit Bar. I would recommend booking a reservation, as walk ups are not guaranteed. It’s a very small venue, with a 2 hour seating. Entertainment will be interspersed with drinks/upscale bar snacks. The entertainment offerings are mainly very well done burlesque and arial arts. It was very enjoyable, and we look forward to going back. It’s located near the Harbour Walk, so it’s easy to grab dinner ahead of time right there and stroll over for your seating.
