Fantasmic after park close breaks the optimizer

Hello,

I’m planning for a trip in late january 2026 right now. HS closes at 9 for day guests, but has EEH and a fantasmic show at 9:30. I selected for my plan hours to be the normal day hours with extra morning, but not the extra evening because I don’t qualify for those. The optimizer says that “The only Fantasmic! show occurs after your plan’s finish time. Remove that show or make your plan end later!” But I don’t want it to schedule rides during the extra evening hours. Just thought you should know

Thanks for posting this topic.

There are a couple of things going on here:

  1. There is an immutable rule within the scheduler that nothing can be scheduled after the end time of a plan (i.e. park close). Currently allowing a violation of that rule for a one-off edge case such as this would result in a nontrivial amount rework, impacting many existing features. TP is aware of the situation and has this modification on their wish list.
  2. Keep in mind that the 9:30 showtime has been generated from a representative (donor) date from the past and may not yet be on the official Disney calendar. Assuming the modification in step 1 is implemented, any show with multiple show times will display those show times but will not permit the user to make a selection until reflected on the official Disney calendar. Until the showtimes are official, the scheduler always use the earliest show time.
