Extra charge for an additional adult

We have an reservation at Pop for October for 2 adults and 1 child (age 11). My mother is thinking of coming along with us and staying in the same room. I asked my TA if there would be any additional charge if we added my mother. She said that it would be an additional $11.25/night for an additional adult. If the room is rated for 4 adults why is there an additional charge if we only have 3 adults total?

That just means the room can accommodate up to 4 adults. But generally pricing is only for 2 adults. Additional adults would add to price of room.

But you couldn’t actually add a fifth adult (if you had 4) because it isn’t allowed.
