Thank you!
Not a bad walk, about the distance from RPR. Its pretty bland visually and not much will help it even after some trees grow in. Just a heads up if you want a tranquil walk.
Thank you! That is a great reference! You were not crazy about Epic? I didn’t think I was going to do it but we are squeezing it in for a weekend next year.
I wonder though if people don’t notice the extra charge. It would blend in with the expected charges. `They probably also don’t always charge the difference.
Thanks for posting this! Very interesting, especially the ride vehicle technology portion.
Loved the NBC Epic special! We watch AGT regularly and I kinda forgot about the special tonight.
I think I’m more excited than ever for this. I don’t watch all the You Tube content or follow it very closely. And now I want to plan a trip with my son and nephews for May 2026. It looks so awesome. There’s something to be said about this big roll out by Universal vs. the trickle roll out Disney usually does.
I know, I know, it’s a whole new park. But still. Disney takes FOR.EV.ER.
I think it’s supposed to be on Peacock starting today. I plan to watch this weekend! I’m so excited about it.
It was really well done. Just enough to show you everything without giving too much away (like no POV ride through).
I’m curious what people think about Dark Universe and the recommended age groups.
I was not really planning to even go into the land with my kids (6 and 9). I don’t think they would be scared by it necessarily but there’s so much more that they would love that it seems like a little bit of a waste unless they were really into it.
I’ll report back. I think I’ll try to get my whole bunch to sit down and watch–might get 4/5
We will see.
I’m most excited for all of this with DD9. We fairly recently finished all of the Harry Potter movies–she’s moving on to the books now and wants to rewatch the movies. She’s all in, talks about Harry Potter all the time. I love it!
The special didn’t show too much of it but it looked like it focused on classic monsters. I bet a lot of younger children aren’t even that familiar with them. At night I think it could be scary for younger children though.
Dark Universe is the part with monsters like Frankenstein and Dracula. The Ministry of Magic (which looked so freaking cool!) is the new Harry Potter area. I think they’re seperate but not sure. They didn’t really show the flow of the land.
They are separate lands/portals.
Right you are. I think she will be fine with Frankenstein/Dracula–those are old favorites. I’m sure age range depends heavily on the particular kid! If they like stuff like that, etc.
They do show a little section of Monsters Unchained. Personally I think it’s cool!
You don’t even need Peacock. You can watch it as a recent show on NBC.com . I can stream lots of network shows for the Big 3 that way, in case I can’t watch them live.
Good to know!
Thank you!!
