Epic Universe News & Planning Thread

I scan my photo pass at the end of the ride. Some rides it self service and some the staff help.

I was wondering last night how long it will be before Touring Plans offers a UOR subscription that includes Epic??

Are people going to be grandfathered in to the new park plan? If I have 3 years paid for, does that get reduced to include the new park?

I assume it will get grandfathered in. They might increase the price for new subscriptions. I think the UOR subscription covers the entire resort.

You guys, I was already stoked for this, but I’m even more excited now if possible. I’m worried the line is going to be 8 hours though. :grimacing:

I haven’t watched the review yet but from what I’ve heard I totally agree with you on being so excited to ride and also certain it’s going to be a bazillion hour long wait

Cements it, we rope drop early entry from Helios and get in line to enter HP world and just wait an hour till they open the land and ride and hightail it there on day 2 and they better include on VIP tour!

Also I see Tim! I love them because they have the same names as me and hubby LOL.

For those that don’t mind spoilers there are videos of the entire queue on youtube.

I should mention it is a spoiler-free review, unless you literally want to know nothing about the attraction. Nothing that hasn’t been revealed in UOR’s official releases.

Could be, but seems like a candidate for a virtual queue. I don’t think Universal wants 8 hour lines.

I was being a little hyperbolic - I agree they would do a VQ before it gets that long. But my point is that it may be difficult to experience without a lot of focus and/or waiting. It will be a source of stress for me.

I didn’t get to ride it the day I went, it wasn’t open yet. But they did let us walk the queue. Even just walking the entire queue took about 15 minutes (and that’s continuous walking…though slow…) - it is a MAGNIFICENT queue, but it is also enormous. They are prepared for people to wait in that line for many, multiple hours. I honestly can’t even imagine it being filled with people, but it will be…for sure.

Well… Epic Media Day has come & gone! If you want to see the entire park and every ride POV you can on YouTube. Pretty much every content creator has a park walk-thru and ride videos.

(I’m avoiding it all for as long as I can, so I’m not posting any links. However, they’re not hard to find!)

The “rumor” is Epic will no experience any more closures between now and the official grand opening. Every date will be available via AP / TM previews

I saw one ride thru somewhere but on youtube all the main media creators say they were not supposed to do on ride video so those people should be in trouble. All the videos I saw were just park walk thrus.

According to various creators UOR has fired over 300+ TMs for violating these procedures. It’s why UOR had to change there guidelines about who is “family” for purposes of previews and types of recordings about a week or so ago. (I’ve heard the number is as high as up to 700 fired)

The only ride I haven’t seen a POV post for is HPBatM.

Probably cuz it just opened! It’s coming.
I saw the monsters unchained one but it was so hard to tell what was going on. It was very poor quality or just not a good attraction for a ride thru video.

And I think if people are okay with seeing the park lands but not the rides or shows, they will be safe watching the normal youtube content creators like AllEars or DFBGuide or PCDev or Ordinary Adventures, etc.

*Well I admit you can see outside of the ride footage like the carousel and the dragon racer’s rally and the parts of roller coasters, boat rides you can see from walking by from these but that’s because they are outdoors, they aren’t POV

I think we should just refer to this ride as ‘Ministry’ otherwise I’m going to be so disappointed not to see Harry team up with Batman when I finally get there

Honestly, I felt this way for years seeing the BatB acronym :joy:

I think it is a lot of this. Henceforth I will blur all actual ride experiences to avoid spoilers, but I have been to the park, so I’m happy to answer questions! There is so much going on…you have to be looking around to catch it all. My head was on a swivel that whole ride and there were definitely things I missed…plus you’re being swung around every which way (just like Forbidden Journey) When my friend and I got off…I was asking him about something and he had no idea what I was talking about. Sitting right next to me he was experiencing something totally different in that scene. I really look forward to a reride to see it all again.
