I won’t hear a word said against that classic. Nor any movie in which John Cusak jumps the San Andreas fault in an armoured limousine. In the first 10 minutes.

Woody Harrelson on the mountain/hill as the water is about to roll over him.

It’s a bad movie but is still lovable.

Agreed. It might be the greatest bad movie ever made!

Yes 2012 is one of the best.:rofl::rofl:

There are moments where you have to wonder if the filmmaker was intending for parody or not.

It was directed by Roland Emmirch. He also did Independence Day, Godzilla and The Day After Tomorrow. Crazy big budget “spectaculars" with lots of explosions are his mainstay.:rofl:

Not to mention ‘Moonfall’, perhaps the craziest of them all!

Hey Liner friends! We’ve made the somewhat last minute decision to hit up Epic Universe on Friday 2/27 while we’re in Orlando for Princess Half Marathon weekend. We’ve not yet been to Epic, and haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention, because we didn’t have a trip planned anytime soon. Just bought tickets and hotel room last night.

We’re staying at Helios and using early entry. Two adults (kid-free trip, yay!), looking for a productive, but not frantic, day. Anything we should be sure not to miss? I heard the HP show is good?

Um. Good luck.

The Untrainable Dragon, and the HP show are both quite good.

There are two “not to miss” rides: Monster’s Unchained, and Stardust Racers. Unfortunately, unless Universal pulls up the timeline, SR will be closed. (A shame, because it is absolutely the best ride in the park.)

We found the queue to BatM incredibly. But the ride itself was entirely meh, and skippable. But I don’t think you can see the queue…and if you wait the queue, you might as well ride it. We waited 90 minutes for a posted 120 minute wait. The ride itself is really only worth a wait of, maybe, 30 minutes max. But that queue!!! Incredible.

I gave a fairly lengthy report about our two days there from a couple weeks ago. Search for the “Epically Magical Family Trip” if you want to see all our thoughts (by our, I mean, from the 10 of us who went).

Here is a helpful priority list. It was basically compiled from many different sites and opinions.

As far as the shows. Untrainable Dragon is typically favored over Le Cirque Arcanus.

I found your trip report - very helpful, thanks!

Yeah I agree with the consensus on BaTM. The queue is what makes it.

What other queues are must-do? (weird, right?) We’ll be there in March, with EP, so I’m wondering which ones to skip EP to see the queue.

I would concur. Arcanus had some coolness to it, but certainly not on par with UD!!!

My sons said the queue to the Mario Kart was, to him, the best queue in the park…BUT only if you are a Mario Kart fan, I guess. I didn’t ride it myself, so I can’t offer personal experience.

The Monster’s Unchained Queue is fairly cool, as well…but you actually end up walking past most of it very quickly because the standby line for that ride is generally quite short.

I can’t think of any other “must-do” queues…but I don’t honestly remember what they said about the Mine Cart Madness queue.

If you use EP on BatM, do you miss the queue?

Thanks for asking this! I was wondering the same thing!

Maybe some of it, but not the big room that’s so amazing. We rode it with EP first, and then I rode it solo 3x a few weeks later, first at rope drop, then Single rider at night, then standby at night (it was walkon whic was amazing!). I didn’t feel like I missed too much in the express line.

I rode without EP and the line was so short (I know, poor me) that we skipped a bunch of the queue. I walked right through the main room after the floo and then waited my whole time in the room with the vacuum. We stuck our head into the Quiddich locker room but we didn’t see any of the offices at all.

I think others have mentioned, but you also exit into the big green room so you can take your time in there too.
