Yeah…that was our case. All the tickets I held in my app, so I gave my sons screenshots of their ticket so they didn’t have to be with me. I guess they were told everyone should have their own app. Stupid.
Yes. Very.
When we were at the OG parks, we had to scan APs and faces every day. It was a waste of time. Sorry they had to deal with that.
The Tunnel Transit system is…surprising. I have trouble believing it is really a viable solution. They claim it is, but the difference between Las Vegas having a high water table and Florida is that with Florida, we are talking almost entirely like you are underwater. They also have to deal with existing infrastructure. But if they can pull it off, it is kind of cool. Not sure I, personally, would trust it. I’d rather depend on surface-street buses I think. I’d be curious to know what the public response to this idea will be!!
The best solution is something other than more vehicles/congestion above ground. Another factor why Boring may have been chosen is the speed at which they can do projects.
I can see the appeal. But, honestly, as one who lives a short distances from Windsor, Ontario by way of both a bridge and tunnel, I MUCH MUCH prefer the bridge to the tunnel. Every time I’ve been through that tunnel, I envision a sudden collapse and the place flooding and everyone drowning!!! I’ll do it, but I don’t actually LIKE it. (Also, I’ve seen the movie Daylight!!!) ![]()
That’s definitely something that I would be scared of, too.
This reminds me of a 90s Sylvester Stallone movie called Daylight, where he saves a bunch of people stuck in the Holland Tunnel in NYC. I think the last line of the movie is something like, “Next time I’m gonna take the bridge.” ![]()
Oh LOL I didn’t see this till after I replied. ![]()
I figured as much!!! ![]()
It is a good movie, actually, as disaster flicks go…even has a pre-Aragorn Viggo in it! But much like watching Jaws makes you afraid of taking a bath (when you are a kid), Daylight makes you afraid of tunnels. ![]()
I watched Daylight like six times when it first came out. I think we rented the VHS. I love disaster movies and the late 90s was the peak for that genre.
We are disaster flick fans, my wife and I. We watch them all! Daylight we’ve also watched repeatedly. We even like to watch bad ones where we can make fun of them, but appreciate the ones that offer us something new.
It is harder to find good ones these days…more and more, they end up being foreign films. A few years back, there was one that was phenomenal called “The Wave”, which is Norwegian I think. (There was also a sequel, which was quite good, although not quite as much, and another unrelated film by the same filmmaker which was also good.)
I’ve been on the lookout for Greenland 2 when it comes to streaming. I can’t go out to see many movies in the theater, but I enjoyed the first one.
Oh, yeah. I forgot there was going to be a sequel. I’ll be on the lookout for it as well!
And Arachnophobia makes you afraid to use the toilet.
2012???
Good opportunity for my favorite gif. ![]()

Lets just say there is one in operation among 14 proposed ones (including this Orlando one). So needless to say I’m skeptical.
Didn’t that term become outdated at least 75 years ago?
