So, we are tentatively adding a couple days of UOR to our trip. We are thinking about taking one day to do UFS and IoA on one day and Epic on another. We have a Friday (March 27th) and a Saturday (March 28th) planned. Which day would be better to do Epic on?
Just as an FYI, we only really want to visit, not ride rides. I may ride Fyre Drill and will want to see the HP show and the Dragon show, and maybe do the M&G for Toothless. I’m most concerned with overstimulation than wait times.
We’ll have a regular sized backpack each day so we’ll pay for larger lockers when we have to. If we did choose to get a day lockers I wonder what happens when we leave one park and go to another. Day lockers are $15-$20 whereas the attraction lockers are $3 so I don’t know that day lockers would save much $$. Likely not enough for me to care about. Once I am all in for multiple thousands I tend to not care about the Andrew Jacksons I’m throwing around. For better or worse, that’s my mindset.
I was looking at those numbers and was wondering if you could get a large locker and do attractions in one area at a time? With express it might be cheaper than the lockers in the front of the park?
Yes I believe we booked ours about an hour out and asked for outdoor table and we’re given a table right on the edge but if you didn’t have a great view from your table there was some space behind our table (we had the last one) you could stand and watch
With a bigger bag I tend to use the individual pay lockers large size at each attraction. That way you always have your stuff with you and those usually don’t have as long of lines either. But for some like in hogsmeade I’ll use the Hagrids ones and ride all the hogsmeade rides and come back and get my bag after.
We went on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas Day was like twice as crowded at Christmas Eve so I’d guess Friday is the better day for epic. No matter the crowd level the central land is never crowded so you can always get a respite there but Nintendo land is packed to the gills always.
I did not have this bad experience that jeni mentioned. We requested outdoor table and got it. There is outdoor area and I thought the view from up there was the way to see the show for sure cuz you can see the entire park get lit up. We went on Christmas Eve too and the parks were pretty crowded.
It’s possible things have changed over the past few months, but when I looked into this last fall, weekends at Epic were less crowded than weekdays so that would make Saturday the better option. But again, I haven’t looked into this recently.
Yes for both but only wands are available online so purchasable ahead of your trip. Power up bands can be purchased in Citywalk if you’re going there first. And when we went to Japan I bought em on eBay cuz I wanted em ahead of time.
Also i highly recommend saving darkmoor for after dark if you can only fit one land in at night. The smog effect makes that land including the curse of werewolf ride.
Thank you for all of this. I’ve mentioned often over the past few months to my friends and colleagues how generous you were in helping me with this trip from the get-go. In a world filled with so much harm, this type of kindness goes a long way. Appreciate you. Sincerely.
Hi! Your trip is soon, that’s so exciting! You probably have gotten all the answers to your questions, but if not I will look at them after I get home from this cruise. We did the 4 day tix with express 1/3-6 and I also just did a solo day there last Sunday without express. There were some things on our first visit that threw me off and made things stressful, I can share them with you so you are better prepared than I was. Epic just does some things differently than I am used to with Disney. There was quite a learning curve especially when it came to the Universal app and food.
@WakandaForever I just thought of two things. At least for IOA and US, I highly recommend spending time Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley during EE. It will get more crowded as the day goes on and that early time before the park fills is awesome. I also recommend getting the wand at the store. The atmosphere is 100% part of the fun.
Also, the restaurants in both ate very good for breakfast and lunch/dinner. They are countwr service, so no reservations needed, and add to the entire experience.
