Also: I updated all of our UOR wait-time models earlier this week. Those updates use the most recent relationship between how long people are actually waiting in line as compared to the posted wait signs, to estimate both future and intraday wait-time forecasts. It should be a decent improvement in accuracy.
For what it’s worth, we also got reports this week that Epic specifically is keeping the Express Pass to Standby guest ratios fairly high, so giving significiant priority to Express Pass users. A few reports we got from the parks indicate ratios of 9 Express Pass guests for every 1 Standby guest.
I checked with some folks at Epic, and while that actually happened, they say it’s not the normal level of prioritization unless a ride is recovering from downtime.
Thank you @len! Is this update only to a certain date? I am wondering if someone could look at President’s weekend and Epic being a 3 that Sunday 2/15/26. Thanks!
I’d like to update Spring Break after the Christmas holidays. We’ve not seen how crowds ebb and flow at Epic over a longer holiday period than, say, Thanksgiving. And I’m not sure whether this week’s change to Express Pass ratios is permanent(ish). We’ll know more in a couple of weeks.
We updated the Epic U wait-time models earlier this week (there’s a whole thread on the process here). This morning we got this email, from a visit yesterday:
Thanks to everyone who commented and let TP know! I will say that as a casual TP user (not an AP holder, only go to the parks every few years) the Crowd Calendar and planning functions are the main reason I use TP. So having accurate expectations is a big deal. That said, I understand that with a new park there will always be unknowns and that the data is incomplete. Thankful for the folks at TP and the help they provide in making our trips great!
