Epic in Nov or full trip next year?

I swear listening to the disney dish makes me go to orlando more than I ever thought I would. Planning a possible trip with DD12 to Epic in mid november. Looking at flying the week of Nov 10 as she has 2 days off (tuesday for Veterans and that friday). Question 1) will crowds be higher on that tuesday? Trying to decide on M-Th vs T-F trip. Question 2) should we do two days in november only for epic? Does it feel worth it minus the other parks? Likely we won’t go back for a few more years if we do this short trip. Are other people struggling with holding off knowing it may be at least a year before they go? I can’t figure out a full week for this next school year and don’t want to go to Orlando in summer and before long she’s going to be too busy to want to go.

I vote for full trip next year, although I would definitely do either!!

I had this very conversation with myself after watching the recent Epic special. I have a plan to be in WDW in November. And I thought, what if I moved things around? lol. But a full trip in March (for us) is better than a rushed trip now. IMO

I’m another one that talked myself out of a day at EPIC on our Nov trip. I’d rather have a USO focused full trip another time.

We have plans in march already or I would be all over that. A full trip is so much more balanced and ultimately a better price. I appreciate being talked off the edge on this. Would orlando in early june be terrible?

It’s hot. But a lot less humid than July and August. We’ve been during the beginning of the month and it’s manageable. These days we would take midday breaks. But in our younger years we went all day with a break every few days.

Thanks! That’s reassuring. It’s hard to find dates that work with school vacation or minimal school disruption but our daughter gets out relatively early June so that may be an option. I’ve heard epic is mostly outside so there’s that.

Yes. I finally made the decision to spend a day at Epic during our upcoming fall WDW trip. That said, we are also doing a fall 2026 UOR trip so it wasn’t a choice of one or the other for us. It was a choice of 3 days at WDW/1 at Epic or 4 days at WDW.

Terrible? … no. But it could be very hot. We went in late May 2022 and temps were high 90s/low 100s. We had a blast, but there were some uncomfortable afternoons.

Not only is Orlando hot in June, but Epic has been reported to be an especially hot park.

That’s my worry too with all the baby trees.

When in fall do you aim for?

When does school start in 2026? Some schools don’t start that first week.

In 2026 they will (with packages, should tickets only) be offering hopping tickets including Epic. You could always prioritize Epic in the morning and evenings with the other parks in the middle of the day.

Hey! I’ve also battled this delimma. I’ve planned, literally, two Epic trips and cancelled them.

For me, I’m an AP and having to buy single dated tickets sucks. Right now, if you have an AP and go only 4 days in an entire year it “pays for itself."

I can’t justify paying over 50% of the AP cost for only two days at Epic.

Any three day weekend will be busy with locals. Vets Day isn’t a typical travel holiday. Most people are waiting a couple weeks for Thanksgiving and so on….

There’s no wrong answer though! Either way you still get to go to Epic!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

So I just did the last minute, single day trip and was worried I might regret it, but I don’t! It worked perfectly for us.

The one thing that I will say is that I think TP got the crowd level correct but the times in the plans are way off. So maybe take a look at the crowd calendar for the fall to help pick a day.

I think Len is working on this now.

I padded my plan myself and it ended up being very accurate. I’ll try and post it when I get to a computer.

I figured Epic would be off for a while. Padding was a good strategy. I’m always good with extra time on my hands but get frantic if I’m behind, lol.

We start around labor day. I’ve been seeing that this week has been light at epic. But I’m assuming hot. I supposed that last week in August, avoiding labor day, when people are back at school could be another option. As long as you don’t mind heat and possible hurricanes I guess???
