Epic Arrival

Hey! Has anyone recently been to Epic without early access? If so, did they let you in early?

I got an email this morning from someone who was staying offsite and visiting Epic today:

  • Let into park at 8:46 am
  • Walk to BATM at 9:00 am sharp
  • Off BATM by 9:18 am

Were they “held” and not allowed to enter the park until 8:46 though? In my experience they did not check for our resort keys until we were walking into the Nintendo portal. So you could definitely get into the park at 8:20/8:30 being offsite.

But if the park opens to the public at 10, off site guests should not be on an attraction before then? Although they are on an attraction that is not officially open until 10.

So I 1000% agree with you! I don’t think they should be let in. Off-site guests had a huge advantage over us (on site) to Berk when we arrived at the portal during EE. It’s stupid.

But, that’s the way they are doing it! They don’t check resort cards for portals that aren’t technically EE.

I’ll ask.

From a friend staying off-site who went to Epic yesterday and headed for Ministry at Early Park Opening:

@len there are reports on chat (wdw and Universal) that the portal to the Wizarding World is not opening during EE. Have you heard this? Reports are saying it can open a little early, but it has not been consistent.

Epic is installing hardware in the queue to help estimate line waits. They’re doing it in the mornings, and I’m told it’ll be done shortly. It’s already in at a few rides.

The ride’s been running at half capacity for a while, so I suspect they want it to run during EPA to make as many paying guests happy as possible by giving them rides.

ETA: The hardware is being installed across UOR, so all three parks.
