What is the best entrance to use for Epcot? I keep hearing about the IG entrance. We are staying offsite and have a car but have heard parking can be a bear at the main entrance.
We were late to fast passes so don’t have any good ones for the morning (and only have Frozen, Spaceship earth and Mission Space) later in the day.
Can we access Soarin or Test Track easily from this entrance?
If you’re driving in, you need to use the main entrance. The IG is accessible from the Skyliner or from the local resorts (Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk).
The access to Soarin is about the same from both entrances, to Test Track it’s probably easier from the Main Entrance, but it’s all construction dependent right now.
If you do drive yourself you’ll need to go to the Main Entrance. It’s actually gotten much better at the front as some of the construction of the new entry has wrapped up. (Future World is still a construction zone though)
However, if you decide to come in through IG, the walking distance is almost equal to the attractions you listed whether you come in from the Main gate or there. It’s been timed & tested by Touring Plans and other blogs.
