EDIT - Thanks to everyone from the helpful input! I believe I have enough information now to plan our day at EPCOT.
Long-time Touring Plan user, but this trip we only plan to go to EPCOT. Due to a knee injury, planning to use a LL Premier Pass at EPCOT to minimize walking and waiting in line. Should EE still be a priority, or would it be better to arrive mid-morning, nearer to when the World Showcase opens, and work our way methodically through the attractions (and eateries)! Not interested in staying into the evening for the firewords, etc. Thanks!
Welcome! I would totally sleep in if I had LLPP. Is there something that is not included that you really want to do? Is it going to be an especially crowded day where shopping and food might take longer due to amount of people? Holiday stuff? Concerts? Otherwise, you should have plenty of time to do Epcot rather methodically.
You can now walk all the way around World Showcase before 11 (this was news to me - I don’t know when that changed as they used to hold you at France because I spent many mornings starting my day at Les Halles). But other than the 3 rides back there and Les Halles most dining/shops are not open. I’d still hit World Showcase right at 11 to minimize crowds back in that section of the park. Is the priority rides? Are you going to have a scooter or are you walking and really needing to minimize walking? I’d probably pick a side in the new Future World - do those rides, then do world showcase for most of the afternoon, then come back around and do the rides on the other half of Future World. Assuming you’re starting at the front of the park.
If it were me and I didn’t want to stay for the evening, I would arrive before 9am to be able to watch Impressions de France before they switch it over to Beauty and the Beast Singalong. Then I would ride Remy and go from there.
If I had premier pass, I definitely wouldn’t worry about EE, but I don’t get there in time anyway.
Anecdotally, we did have a wonderful morning in WS, coming in from the Skyliner to International Gateway, because it was quiet. I don’t know when you’re traveling but highly recommend. We went right towards France (and Les Halles).
I know Mitsukoshi opens at 9 too - so I think it’s become more widespread for shops? Agreed for sure that food booths etc usually don’t open until 11 for lunch.
Quick search on today for food:
Crepes (quick service or table): opens at 9
Gelateria Toscana (has non-Joffrey’s coffee): opens at 10
Les Halles, Kringla: open with EE
Karamel Kuche: opens at 9
If there is something you want to ride twice, then I would go to EE for that ride. If once per ride is enough for you, then I see no reason to go to EE with LLPP.
With one caveat (see below) I’d book breakfast somewhere like Cape May and then arrive after that, missing the queues both at early entry and official opening.
I like to mix Future World and World Showcase, so working around sequentially is perfect, whichever entrance you use.
But
If you are going during the Holidays around the World, and want to see the shows in each country then you need to plan it. You need to know what times the performance are at, so you can see one, explore and move on.
I plan to buy PP and I plan to focus on LL attractions. I have noon and 730pm table service dining reservations and meeting cousins for a total of 13 of us for dinner at that 730pm sitting then watching fireworks after at 9:30. There will be extended hours when I go but I plan to try and ride all rides and shows that have LL b/w getting or noon lunch and before 7:30pm dinner. If we miss something we can do it after fireworks or redo GotG on way out. I don’t know if well be successful (I will also walk thru Moana and ride Gran Fiesta Tour for the couple non LL attractions). I’m doing this cuz I want to stay till the 11:30pm close. I prefer Epcot (and all theme parks) at night, love breezing in after rope drop crowds have died down and it’s easier to catch a bus/get thru turnstiles. And I don’t like crabby teens and twinkies (twenties). lol.
