With the news of Guardians of the Galaxy not having a virtual queue starting Feb. 25, do you think Remys (and Frozen) will be easier to rope drop from the International Gateway entrance because people will head to Guardians?
I hope so but it seems like entering from the IG will be a disadvantage for rope dropping GotG unless maybe they let people walk all the way around World Showcase prior to actual rope drop.
Easier? Yes…but probably not by a lot, since mostly this means GotG is just the new Test Track in that regard. As much as Test Track took some of the people away from Frozen and Remy, I think GotG will be similar.
When it will probably really make a difference is when Test Track re-opens.
Kinda with @ryan1 on this. Cannot seeing making whole lot of difference tbf. The IG is way too far away to get to GotG without having a 90+ wait and the opportunity cost of then missing EE for the Rat or Frozen doesn’t make it viable. Cannot really seeing it change that much when Test Track 3 opens either. Those queues at the main get will split between the 2 rides. Sure they may come down but even if it is by 50% you’ll still be behind a ton of other people. I want G+ and virtual queues back - MY HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
The reason I think TT might make more of a difference is because TT, unlike Guardians, has more family appeal/rideability…so it will draw more of the Frozen/Remy riders away. Probably not a ton…and honestly, what I think it will do more is draw some of the RD crowd away from GotG instead. Still, I think it will help moreso than Guardians in reducing the RD waits at Frozen and Remy at least SOMEWHAT.
No, no. No VQs, no LL, no FP, and no G+. Just standby for everything please! That’s how it should be. (I’m a broken record on that…I know.)
Oh yes! Could totally get behind that. Shame that ship has sailed.

I’m not convinced this is true by any meaningful amount of riders. The height requirement difference between TT and GotG is only 2". And while GotG is intense for a WDW ride, it’s not a super intense ride in the scheme of theme parks overall and I suspect many kids over age 5 ride it. Maybe I’m wrong, but I suspect the vast majority of guests riding TT would also be interested in riding GotG too.
That said, I do think that TT will have more of an impact on FEA and Remy EE RD wait times, but it will be due to the LLMP (TT) vs LLSP (GotG) distinction. An onsite guest that buys LLSP and LLMP will still have an incentive to EE RD one of TT, Remy and FEA.
In my opinion, the result of the removal of VQ for GotG and the re-opening of TT is that FEA will see the largest reduction in EE RD wait times.
I don’t disagree, for the most part. I do think that roller coasters, however, do tend to keep more younger kids away. It is just something I’ve seen also at amusement parks in general, where younger kids CAN be (there are always outliers) scared to try coasters that they might actually be tall enough for.
So, between the height difference, and the knowledge of it being a coaster, I think TT will still have a stronger family appeal than GotG.
BUT, I think your point, in general, is valid…that the difference won’t be super significant.
