Epcot Illuminations

I read somewhere that there were special venues/deals associated with the illuminations show in EPCOT that would allow you reserved seating, or a cruise, or maybe both. Does anyone know about this?

You can use a FastPass for a reserved viewing area. There aren’t seats though. You have to stand because of the way the ground slopes towards the lake.

There is also a paid dessert party with a reserved viewing area. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/illuminations-sparkling-dessert-party/
It’s right next to the FastPass area, and is set up in the same way.

There’s also a fireworks cruise that you can book. Hopefully someone who has done it will have more details. I vaguely remember that it’s up to 10 or 12 people for a set cost. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/specialty-cruises/ (it’s the 2nd thing listed on that page)

There are lots of free viewing locations all around the lake, of course, so you don’t have to have any of these to find a good spot to view the show.

Finally, there are 4 restaurants with decent views of Illuminations - La Hacienda, Rose & Crown, Tokyo Dining and Spice Road Table. You have to time things right and there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a table with a view at any of them. I’ve watched Illuminations from the Spice Road Table patio and it was amazing. Illuminations was at 9 that night, and I believe our ADR was for 7:40.
